The senior thrower won the shot put and discus at the Nevada Track Classic, earning Male Field Athlete of the Meet honors. He had a throw of 179 feet, 7 inches in the discus and 58-1 in the shot put. Both marks were meet records.

ARBOR VIEW — Baseball pitcher Sam Pastrone allowed four hits in five innings with nine strikeouts in a 2-1 win over Basic. Softball player Kellie Anderson was 3-for-6 over two games to maintain her .500 batting average.
BOULDER CITY — Boys distance runner Garrett Meyer placed first in the 3,200-meter run, third in the high jump and ran on the winning 1,600 and 3,200 relay teams at the Grant Bushman Invitational.
CANYON SPRINGS — Boys swimmer Austin Burgueno won the 100-yard butterfly in 56.96 seconds and placed third in the 200 freestyle against Green Valley.
CENTENNIAL — Baseball player Cooper Powell was 2-for-2 with two triples, two RBIs and two runs in an 11-1 win over Legacy. Softball player Heather Bowen had a home run, two doubles and two RBIs in a 10-0 victory over Legacy.
CHAPARRAL — Boys track athlete Alex Poles cleared 11 feet in the pole vault in a meet with Desert Pines, Mojave and Pahrump Valley. Girls track athlete Linda Sue Luchsinger won the 1,600-meter run in 6 minutes, 11 seconds in a meet with Desert Pines, Pahrump Valley and Mojave.
CIMARRON-MEMORIAL — Baseball player Niko Decolati was 6-for-12 with a home run in four games and also picked up a save. Girls swimmer Cambride Guerrero placed first in the 200-yard individual medley and 100 backstroke against Clark and Cheyenne.
CLARK — Boys golfer Arepepanya Phonsavanth shot an 87 at Aliante and an 83 at Las Vegas Golf Club.
DESERT OASIS — Girls swimmer Karen Kurosawa set a school record in the 100-yard backstroke, giving her all eight of the school’s individual marks. Baseball pitcher A.J. Landis allowed eight hits and no earned runs over 17 innings.
FAITH LUTHERAN — Softball player Cheyenne Kidd was 6-for-11 with a two-run homer, a double and seven RBIs over four games.
FOOTHILL — Girls sprinter Drea Austin won the 100- and 200-meter dashes at the Las Vegas Track Classic. Baseball player Bligh Madris was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and pitched a scoreless seventh to get the save in an 11-9 win over Liberty.
LEGACY — Softball player Alyssa Sotelo was 6-for-7 with a double, a grand slam and eight RBIs over three games.
GREEN VALLEY — Softball pitcher Samantha Loving was 2-for-4 with a home run against Cimarron-Memorial and 3-for-4 with two doubles against Foothill. Baseball player Keola Paragas was 6-for-8 with two homers and six RBIs over three games.
LIBERTY — Girls sprinter Gifty Nkansah won the freshman 100-meter dash in 13.31 seconds and ran a regional qualifying time of 27.97 in the varsity 200 at the Las Vegas Track Classic.
PALO VERDE — Boys swimmer Luke Trafton won the 200- and 500-yard freestlyes and swam on the winning 200 medley relay team against Sierra Vista. Girls swimmer Erin Emery took first in the 100 backstroke and was on the winning 400 freestyle relay team against Sierra Vista.
SHADOW RIDGE — Boys golfer Ben Davis shot 72 to place first in a Northwest League match at Siena.
SIERRA VISTA — Baseball player Chandler Smith went 3-for-3 with two home runs, four RBIs and three runs in a 10-3 win over Silverado.
SILVERADO — Girls track athlete Lauren Purdy had a mark of 35 feet, 8 inches to win the triple jump in a meet with Canyon Springs. Boys golfer Matthew McClure shot 82 to place fifth in a Northeast League match at Los Prados.
