The senior forward had 14 points and 28 rebounds in a 93-80 overtime win over Sierra Vista that clinched the Northwest League title.

The senior forward had 22 points and 17 rebounds in a 58-52 road win over The Meadows.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Sandria Bolden

Bishop Gorman

The senior guard had 22 points, seven rebounds, six assists and was 4-for-8 on 3-pointers in a 65-50 win over Centennial.

WRESTLING

Donovan Peek

Green Valley

The senior earned his third consecutive region title with a 16-4 win over Foothill’s Steven Thomas in the 160-pound division of the Sunrise Region tournament. Peek helped the Gators edge Foothill for the region title.

Michael Barnson

Cimarron-Memorial

The senior was one of two Spartans to claim region titles, edging Palo Verde’s Kayden Pierson 4-3 to take the 145-pound title. He helped Cimarron claim the Sunset Region team crown.

HEAD OF THE CLASS

BASIC — Wrestler Jotasem Funaki won the 285-pound title at the Sunrise Region tournament.

CENTENNIAL — Flag football quarterback Zshalyn Canfield threw a touchdown pass and rushed for another score in a 13-6 win over Palo Verde. Wrestler Hunter Brown won the 195-pound title at the Sunset Region tournament.

DESERT OASIS — Flag football player Kayla Saucedo rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns and had six catches for 113 yards and a TD in a 34-6 win over Mojave. Boys basketball player Aamondae Coleman had a total of 15 points and 31 rebounds in two games.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Girls basketball player Alex Wright had nine rebounds in a win over Clark, and had 14 points and three steals win a victory over Pahrump Valley.

PALO VERDE — Wrestler David Geiger was 4-0 to win the 152-pound title at the Sunset Region tournament. Flag football player Alyssa Millieren-Garcia had a total of 15 tackles in two games.

SIERRA VISTA — Girls basketball player Kimayah Love had 16 points and seven rebounds in a 74-48 victory over Spring Valley.
