Turner accounts for six TDs, Hornets roll
Beatty’s Anthony Turner accounted for six touchdowns as the Hornets rolled to a 58-0 win over host Sandy Valley in the Class 1A Southern League opener for both schools on Saturday.
Turner rushed for 124 yards and three TDs on just seven carries. He also was 4-for-6 passing for 55 yards and three scores.
Tony Dare added a 29-yard touchdown run and a 9-yard touchdown catch, and Kyle Marchand caught two TD passes for Beatty.
Defensively, Jacob Carrol returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown for the Hornets.
