Outlook: The Rattlers bring back six lettermen, including Rowley, who hit .411 with 17 RBIs last season.

Gainey drove in 14 runs as a freshman last season.

"We are still a very young team, and our top pitchers are all 10th and 11th graders," LaSalle said. "If we can produce with our bats, we feel our pitching and defense will make us hard to beat going into league play.

"The kids have worked very hard, and anything less than a playoff run will be a disappointment."
