ROUNDUP: Coronado sneaks past Silverado on wild pitch

Steven Pollex scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday as Coronado’s baseball team rallied from deficits of 7-0, 10-4 and 13-8 to defeat visiting Silverado, 15-14.

Pollex, who was 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs, had a two-run single in the seventh, plating Alex Watson and R.J. Cash to tie the game.

Taylor Giordano was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs and Cash went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for Coronado.

Drew Robinson was 4-for-4 with two home runs for Silverado.

Braden Keathley went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs for the Skyhawks. Mike Myers was 3-for-4 with a double, and Bobby Johnson homered.

Cheyenne 10, Legacy 4 — At Legacy, Marquise Hall went 4-for-4 with a double, triple and five RBIs to lead the Desert Shields over the Longhorns.

Brandon Carroll went 4-for-5 and Le’geary Stewart supplied two hits, two runs and two RBIs for Cheyenne.

Trevor Sosa got the win, giving up only four hits and two earned runs.

Foothill 4, Liberty 3 — At Foothill, Jordan Stewart had a home run and Michael Gibellina went 2-for-3 with a run and two stolen bases as the Falcons held on to nip the Patriots.

Starter Gabby Soto struck out seven. Jordan Mathis got the save and supplied a double.

Liberty’s Robert Kinan had a triple.

Green Valley 16, Tech 3 — At Tech, Anthony Yuran tossed a six-hitter and was 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs to lead the Gators to a five-inning rout of the Roadrunners.

Green Valley jumped out early with five runs in the first inning and nine in the second to lead 14-1.

Tyler Blair had a double and a triple for the Gators, and Brett Harrison and Taylor Jones each added two hits.

Basic 11, Del Sol 1 — At Basic, Marty Christenson went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs to lead the Wolves past the Dragons.

Jacob Barr was 4-for-4 with a home run and Mike Feher went 2-for-4 for Basic.

Corey Gilligan tossed a five-hitter for the Wolves.

Cimarron-Memorial 7, Arbor View 5 — At Arbor View, Kris Kaplan went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to help the Spartans beat the Aggies.

Cimarron’s Kaz Smith went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run. Winning pitcher Brad Oswald was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Arbor View’s Zach Hartman hit a two-run homer.

Shadow Ridge 21, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, the Mustangs won a game called when the Rattlers’ only coach was ejected entering the bottom of the second inning.

Quinn Moriarty (four RBIs), Trent Kinney (three) and Bruce Butler (two) all went 3-for-3 for Shadow Ridge.

Alex Cromwick homered for the Mustangs.

Virgin Valley 12, Western 3 — At Western, Victor Ruvalcaba was 2-for-4 with three RBIs to lead the Bulldogs to a 12-3 road win over the Warriors.

Jason Wittwer earned the win and had a double.

Stetson Ruth, Anthony Morris, Keyanee Faught and Brandt Eaton each had a double for Virgin Valley.

Moapa Valley 5, The Meadows 3 — At Overton, Kelan Weiss scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball in a four-run sixth inning as the Pirates rallied past the Mustangs.

Moapa Valley’s Zach Geary went 2-for-3.

Boulder City 10-18, White Pine 0-0 — At Boulder City, Steven Kaposta went 3-for-3 with six RBIs in the second game as the Eagles swept the Bobcats.

Cole Stubitz was 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs in the second game.

In the opener, Nate Hafen was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Adam Eudy and Stubitz each had two hits for Boulder City.

Mountain View 12-8, Laughlin 11-21 — At Mountain View, Billy Paddack was 4-for-4 with an RBI to help the Saints nip the Cougars in the first game of the doubleheader.

Mountain View trailed 11-10 but scored the tying run on a wild pitch. The go-ahead run came on an RBI groundout by Joel Isola.

Laughlin’s Christian Kruse was 3-for-3 with a triple, two homers and four RBIs.

In the second game, Kruse hit another homer to lead the Cougars. He was 2-for-2 and walked four times. Marcus King drove in four runs for Laughlin.

Paddack went 3-for-3 with two home runs and four RBIs in the second game.

Henderson International 19, Calvary Chapel 1 — At Henderson, Keenan Gladd-Brown led off with a home run and finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs as the Wolverines pounded the Lions in five innings.

Henderson International’s Logan Christie went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and five RBIs.

Winning pitcher Jon Dapper struck out six and went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Indian Springs 21, Trinity 6 — At Indian Springs, Nick Vandever was 5-for-5 with three doubles and six RBIs as the

Thunderbirds had eight runs in the first inning, seven in the second and six in the third  to power past the Thunder.

Anton Allen added two doubles and two RBIs and Roger Atchley was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Indian Springs.

Tonopah 12-17, Spring Mountain 1-4 — At Mountain Ridge Park, the Muckers swept a doubleheader against the Eagles.
