ROUNDUP: Green Valley rallies for win in Lions Tournament

Green Valley rallied for three runs in the top of the fifth inning Tuesday to earn a 5-3 win over host Rancho Buena Vista (Calif.) in the Lions Tournament in Vista, Calif.
The Gators, who trailed 3-2 entering the fifth, scored two runs on a key error in the frame.
Tariq Staton had a two-run homer, and Tyler Blair went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Green Valley.
Nick Libonati went the distance, allowing six hits to get the win. He struck out three and walked none.
Del Sol 9, Mount Empire (Calif.) 2 — At El Cajon, Calif., Chris Hampton was 3-for-4 with four RBIs as the Dragons moved to 2-0 in the Lions Tournament.
Jerett Tufono was 3-for-4 with three runs for Del Sol. Starter David Day allowed one run on two hits in six innings with seven strikeouts to get the win.
La Costa Canyon (Calif.) 7, Silverado 0 — At Encinitas, Calif., Max McNabb threw a four-hit shutout and struck out 12 to lead La Costa Canyon past the Skyhawks in the Lions Tournament.
Drew Robinson was 2-for-4 for Silverado.
Bonita Vista (Calif.) 5, Foothill 3 — At Chula Vista, Calif., Bonita Vista scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to down the Falcons in the Lions Tournament.
Chaparral 7, Tech 5 — At Chaparral, Ricky Perez hit a two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the seventh to give the Cowboys the victory in the Cowboy Classic.
