Roundup: John Howard Bobo’s homer leads Basic to win
John Howard Bobo hit a solo home run Thursday to lead third-ranked Basic to a 4-2 home win over Las Vegas High.
Hunter Katschke doubled and drove in a run, and Trace Evans and Demetrius Vigil each had an RBI for the Wolves.
Evans struck out two over 1⅔ innings to pick up the win.
Jose Martinez was 1-for-3 with a double to lead the Wildcats.
Snow Canyon (Utah) 8, Cimarron-Memorial 3 — At St. George, Utah, Landon Frei was 2-for-2 with a homer and two RBIs as the Warriors beat the Spartans in the K.J. Harrison Classic.
Snow Canyon scored seven runs after two were out in the bottom of the fifth to take an 8-0 lead.
Elie Kligman and Zach Culver each went 2-for-3 for Cimarron.
Bengal Kickoff Tournament
Silverado 7, Shadow Ridge 6 — At Silverado, Chris Cortez scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh to give the Skyhawks the win over the Mustangs.
Shadow Ridge scored four runs in the top of the seventh to take a 6-4 lead, but Silverado rallied for three runs in the bottom of the inning to win the game.
Jarod Hill homered to lead off the bottom of the seventh, and Geraldo Hernandez scored the tying run on a bases-loaded walk.
Hill, Andrew Maxwell and Cortez each had two hits for Silverado.
Ashton Caniglia and Spencer Sveda each went 2-for-4 for Shadow Ridge.
Durango 4, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Daniel Hauben threw a three-hit shutout to lead the Trailblazers to a six-inning win over the Bengals.
Hauben struck out six with one walk.
Robbie Gallegos, Ryan Barry, Blake Logan and Andrew Miller each an RBI for the Trailblazers, who scored three times in the sixth inning.
Makai DeSoto went 2-for-3 to lead the Bengals.
Faith Lutheran 14, Foothill 4 — At Faith Lutheran, Parker Sylvester went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI as the Crusaders took down the Falcons in six innings.
Dylan Howell went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Faith Lutheran.
Jacob Ortega went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Shane Taylor was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs for the Crusaders.
Steven Murray had a double, a run and an RBI for Foothill.
Spring Valley 6, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Michael Marraro went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run and two RBIs as the Grizzlies beat the Eagles.
Erik Dulittle went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI for Spring Valley, which scored three runs in the third to pull away.
Dulittle also allowed one run on four hits in 6⅓ innings to get the win. He struck out six with no walks. Chasyn Love added two hits for the Grizzlies.
Blaze Trumble went 2-for-3 with a run and a double for Boulder City.

Canyon Springs 9, Eldorado 8 — At Eldorado, Bryan Hernandez’s two-run single in the top of the sixth gave the Pioneers the lead and they held off the Sundevils for a six-inning win.
Hernandez’s hit made it 8-7, and Canyon Springs added a run later in the inning on an error.
Eldorado scored a run on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth, but Caleb Andes recorded a strikeout to strand the tying run at third.
Nick Brito was 2-for-3 with three runs, and Martin Blake doubled, scored twice and drove in a run for the Pioneers.
Eldorado’s Andy Marrero was 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs, and teammate Sebastian Estrada went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs.
Canyon Springs 5, Desert Pines 4 — At Eldorado, Hernandez singled home Gavin Rhynes in the bottom of the fifth to give the Pioneers the five-inning victory over the Jaguars.
Martin Blake was 3-for-3 with three runs, and Aiden Moriarty went the distance, allowing two earned runs on six hits with nine strikeouts, to get the win.
James Greco was 2-for-3 with a double and a run for Desert Pines.
Lincoln County 9, Chaparral 7 — At Chaparral, Dean Ottley was 2-for-3 with a triple in the Lynx’s victory over the Cowboys.
McKinley O’Connor went 1-for-3 with a double for Lincoln County.
Rodney Elosegui was 2-for-3 with a home run for Chaparral.
Eldorado 12, Desert Pines 5 — At Eldorado, Andy Marrero doubled and drove in three runs as the Sundevils beat the Jaguars in four innings.
Aaron Rogers was 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and two RBIs, and winning pitcher Julio Rodarte went 2-for-2 with a double, three runs and an RBI for Eldorado.
Desert Pines’ James Greco was 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run and two RBIs, and Jorge Milian went 2-for-3 with two runs for the Jagaurs.

Pahrump Valley 11, Holbrook (Ariz.) 0 — At Bullhead City, Arizona, Chase McDaniel went 1-for-2 with a double and four RBIs to help the Trojans to a four-inning win over the Roadrunners.
Joey Koenig tripled and scored three runs, and Dylan Grossell doubled and had three RBIs for Pahrump.
Cyle Havel and Ryan Braithwaite combined on a two-hitter for the Trojans.
The Meadows 8, Williams (Ariz.) 4 — At Bullhead City, Arizona, Trey Covell went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs in the Mustangs’ four-inning victory over the Vikings.
Sam Kaplan struck out seven in three innings to get the win.
The Meadows 9, Mohave Accelerated (Ariz.) 4 — At Bullhead City, Arizona, Brett Lieuallen went 2-for-3 with a triple to lead the Mustangs over the Patriots.
Jerry Appelhans and Covell each went 1-for-1 wth two RBIs for The Meadows.
