ROUNDUP: Shadow Ridge bats explode in sixth inning for win over Spring Valley
Shadow Ridge scored five runs in the sixth inning to break a 5-5 tie en route to an 11-5 road win over Spring Valley on Tuesday.
Brandon Show doubled twice, drove in two runs and earned the win on the mound for the Mustangs.
Colt Stout went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Sean Hobbs finished 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run and two RBIs for Shadow Ridge.
Arbor View 10, Bonanza 0 — At Arbor View, Nick Urban doubled twice, and Zack Quintana supplied a single, double and four RBIs as the Aggies blanked the Bengals in six innings.
Jason Smulo went the distance for Arbor View, scattering four hits. Tyler LeBaron added two hits for the Aggies.
Green Valley 18, Desert Oasis 1 — At Green Valley, Evan Van Hoosier went 4-for-4 with a home run, triple, four runs scored and three RBIs, and Tariq Staton smacked a homer and a double as the Gators pounded the Diamondbacks in five innings.
Gabe Douglas was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, and Anthony Uran went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Green Valley, which scored 11 runs in the first inning.
Jake Didonato went the distance for the Gators, giving up only three hits and striking out nine.
Centennial 10, Basic 0 — At Centennial, Cody Clark went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Michael Wagner tossed a five-inning three-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks as the Bulldogs blanked the Wolves.
Anthony Antos had two hits and two runs, and Chapman Schmidt supplied a solo home run for Centennial, which scored five runs in both the first and fourth innings.
Boulder City 14, Needles 4 — At Boulder City, Jake LaMarca went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and three RBIs as the Eagles blasted the Mustangs in six innings.
Nate Hafen was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and five RBIs for Boulder City, which had 12 hits.
Henderson International 17-29, Spring Mountain 4-7 — At Mountain Ridge Park, the Wolverines scored 46 runs on 33 hits to sweep the doubleheader.
Chris Laliberte and Keenan Gladd-Brown each doubled and drove in three runs to lead Henderson International in the second game.
In Game 2, Jay Sutorius went 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs, and also earned the win on the mound.
Laliberte and Logan Christie each had a triple and five RBIs for Henderson International in the second game.
Laughlin 16-23, Trinity 4-12 — At Rivera Field, the Cougars pounded out 27 hits in a doubleheader sweep of the Thunder.
Laughlin scored 10 runs in the first inning of the opener and 10 in the third frame of the nightcap.
Christian Kruse went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the first game and tripled in the second game for Laughlin.
In the nightcap, Trinity’s Avery Harden was 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Teammate Damen Cook was a combined 4-for-6 and stole four bases in the two games.
