Top players: F Jacob Heese (Sr.), F Emmanuel Mitchell (Sr.), G Nate Van (So.)

Outlook: Heese had a big season last year, averaging 23.9 points and 10 rebounds. He’s back along with Mitchell (7.1 ppg, 7.0 rpg) and Van (6.3 ppg) to lead a Diamondback squad that is aiming for a playoff berth.

“Desert Oasis is looking for significant improvement this year as many young players from last year’s team are returning and we fight to be competitive for a playoff spot in a very difficult league,” Bedowitz said. “The team’s hard work over the summer makes us optimistic on achieving our goal.

“Our style of play and overall athleticism should make us an exciting team to watch. Led by senior captain Jake Heese, we look to take a large step forward.”
