Bishop Gorman senior Jamal Bey commits to Washington
Bishop Gorman senior wing Jamal Bey will play college basketball at the University of Washington, Gaels assistant coach Rich Thornton comfirmed.
Bey committed to Huskies first-year head coach Mike Hopkins on Saturday afternoon. The commitment is nonbinding and will not be official until Bey signs a national letter of intent.

The early signing period begins on Nov. 8.
Bey averaged 17.1 points per game for Bishop Gorman in 2016-17 and helped the Gaels defeat Clark in the Class 4A state championship game.
The 6-foot-6 swingman followed his high school season with a strong summer for Thornton’s Vegas Elite AAU program, with which he played alongside fellow Division-I commits Trey Woodbury (UNLV) and Maka Ellis (Columbia).
Bey also had scholarship offers from UNLV, Arizona State, USC, Utah and Nevada.
