BOYS BASKETBALL: Booker puts on a show, Stars rout Mustangs

Deishuan Booker had 47 points, eight rebounds and eight assists Friday to help Agassi Prep’s boys basketball team roll past visiting Needles, 85-43.

Akeemis Williams added 11 points for the Stars, who led 16-2 after one quarter.

Trenton Poe-Evans paced the Mustangs with 16 points.

Canyon Springs 59, Clovis East (Calif.) 58 — At Fresno, Calif., Kajuan Casey hit a 5-footer with 16 seconds remaining for the lead and the Pioneers held on to outlast the Timberwolves in the Clovis West Nike Invitational.

Jordan Davis had 15 points, and D’Quan Crockett scored 13 for Canyon Springs. Channel Banks had 12 points, and Casey finished with 10 for the Pioneers.

Lavell Smith had 26 points, and Trey Semien scored 11 for Clovis East, which led 46-45 after three quarters.

Sunrise Mountain 57, Boulder City 52 — At Boulder City, Trellis Quinn scored 20 points to lead the Miners by the Eagles.

Damon Heard added 10 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Tyler Newby led Boulder City with 18 points.

The Meadows 77, White Pine 42 — At Ely, Jake Epstein scored 26 points to lead the Mustangs by the Bobcats.

Ethan Fridman added 18 points, and Asheesh Chopra scored 11 for The Meadows, which led 32-7 after one quarter.

Cody Bennett led White Pine with 13 points.

Sierra Vista 66, Pahrump Valley 24 — At Pahrump, Maka Ellis scored 16 points to help the Mountain Lions rout the Trojans.

Payton Dickerson added 11 points, and Chris McCoy scored 10 for Sierra Vista, which led 32-9 at halftime.

Daniel Foss led Pahrump with seven points.

Lincoln County 45, Calvary Chapel 41 — At Panaca, Derek Shumway scored 18 points, and the Lynx rallied from a 20-17 halftime deficit to down the Lions.

McClain O’Connor added 15 points, and Mike Wood scored 10 for Lincoln County.

Matthew Harney led Calvary Chapel with 13 points.
