BOYS BASKETBALL: Jake Epstein, Meadows roll past Lincoln County
Jake Epstein had 22 points Saturday as The Meadows rolled to a 59-36 boys basketball win over host Lincoln County.
Asheesh Chopra added 19 points for the Mustangs, who led 18-8 after the first quarter.
Noah Smith led the Lynx with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Maranatha (Calif.) 64, Durango 58 — At Norwalk, California, Sean Espinosa poured in 25 points, and the Minutemen made 7 of 10 free throws in the closing minutes to hold off the Trailblazers.
Jessie Elrod added 12 points, and Skyye DeCarter scored 10 for Maranatha, which used an 18-11 third-quarter edge to take a 42-37 lead.
Demetrius Valdez paced Durango with 17 points. Anthony Hunter added 16 points, and Zyare Ruffin scored 10 for the Trailblazers.
Pahranagat Valley 62, Mountain View 49 — At Alamo, Tabor Maxwell had 24 points as the Panthers topped the Saints.
Culen Highbe added 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Cody Williams scored 11 for Pahranagat Valley. Tyson Jorgensen had nine points and 15 rebounds for the Panthers.
Tyrell Brooks led Mountain View with 24 points, and Terrence Brooks scored 17 for the Saints, who led 30-25 at the half.
