BOYS BASKETBALL: McKeever, Rams hang on to edge Gators

David McKeever scored 13 points, and Rancho’s boys basketball team held on for a 42-41 victory over host Green Valley on Tuesday.

Lamont Traylor added eight points for Rancho, which won despite missing four free throws in the final minute of the fourth quarter.

Romello Jones led Green Valley with 15 points. Brandon Burke’s game-winning 3-point attempt for the Gators was blocked as time expired.

Foothill 69, Eldorado 55 — At Eldorado, Colin Curi poured in 26 points to lead the Falcons by the Sundevils.

Torrance Littles added 11 points for Foothill, which used a 29-9 second-quarter run to take control.

Shane Barnes had 18 points, and Carmonte Jones scored 13 for Eldorado, which got 12 points from Carl Crayon.

Las Vegas 104, Silverado 64 — At Las Vegas, Patrick Savoy scored 33 points, and the Wildcats made 14 3-pointers in a rout of the Skyhawks.

Kalin Qualls added 19 points, and Will Loche scored 15 for Las Vegas, which got 14 points from Marquise Raybon.

Kris Coe led Silverado with 19 points. Michael Larson added 15 points, and Jordan Waugh and Matthew Arnold each scored 11 for the Skyhawks.

Coronado 55, Basic 32 — At Basic, Bryce Savoy led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points as the Cougars downed the Wolves.

Travis Bowman and Matt Johnson each supplied eight points for Coronado, which had 10 players score. The Cougars outscored Basic 34-18 in the second half after leading by seven points at the break.

Josh Villaros supplied 17 points and seven rebounds to lead the Wolves.

Desert Oasis 67, Bonanza 53 — At Desert Oasis, Aamondae Coleman scored 24 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Diamondbacks past the Bengals.

Drevin Cannon added 18 points for Desert Oasis, which led 19-8 after the first quarter.

Jamal Logan led Bonanza with 21 points.

Cimarron-Memorial 66, Arbor View 58 — At Arbor View, Terrell Walker scored 21 points to help the Spartans edge the Aggies.

Trent Hunt led Arbor View with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

The Meadows 68, Calvary Chapel 57 — At The Meadows, Jake Epstein and Ethan Fridman each scored 20 points to lead the Mustangs by the Lions.

Max Hisatake added 16 points for The Meadows, which led 48-41 after three quarters.

Matthew Harney had 18 points, Riley Clark added 15 points and Jake Berdan scored 10 for Calvary Chapel.

Needles 58, Mountain View 49 — At Mountain View, Trenton Poe-Evans poured in 34 points as the Mustangs rallied past the Saints.

Cody Tobler added 10 points for Needles, which outscored Mountain View 26-15 in the fourth quarter. Needles hit 17 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Connor LeBoeuf and Tevin Gray each had 16 points for Mountain View.

Word of Life 54, Sandy Valley 37 — At Sandy Valley, Malik Moore scored 20 points to help the Eagles top the Sidewinders.

Jarrett Fisher added 12 points, and Caleb Murphy scored 11 for Word of Life, which led 33-17 at the half.

Wyatt Robinson had 11 points, and James Rau scored 10 for Sandy Valley.

Adelson School 47, Indian Springs 7 — At Indian Springs, Jake Buchman scored 15 points as the Lions routed the Thunderbirds.

Rom Izkovich added 11 points for Adelson School, which led 20-0 after one quarter and 41-4 at the half.

Spring Mountain 64, Beatty 26 — At Spring Mountain, Steve Jones had 17 points to lift the Golden Eagles by the Hornets.

Tre’Vion Glover added eight points for Spring Mountain, which led 27-12 at halftime.

Wyatt Henry led Beatty with seven points.
