BOYS BASKETBALL: Villaros powers Wolves by Sundevils

Josh Villaros poured in 33 points Wednesday to help Basic’s boys basketball team rally for a 73-69 home win over Eldorado.

Robert Sutton had 19 points and seven rebounds, and Jaimen Williams contributed 10 points and five steals for the Wolves, who trailed 37-27 at halftime but stormed back with a 31-12 third-quarter spurt.

Treyveon Wilson had 19 points to lead Eldorado. Carl Crayon added 17 points, and Shane Barnes scored 10 for the Sundevils.

Foothill 55, Rancho 49 — At Foothill, Colin Curi had 18 points and five steals to help the Falcons get past the Rams.

Te’Vion Reed scored nine points, and Jeron Bodin added eight points for Foothill, which trailed 23-22 at halftime.

Siriman Keita had 13 points, and Lamont Traylor scored 11 for Rancho.

Cimarron-Memorial 76, Desert Oasis 63 — At Cimarron, Terrell Walker tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead a balanced scoring attack as the Spartans defeated the Diamondbacks.

Kieron Hatchett supplied 13 points and five steals for Cimarron, which outscored Desert Oasis 38-20 in the middle quarters. Demarco Alexander scored 12 points, and Jadon Brown had 11 points for the Spartans, who got 10 points from Jaron Ponder.

Aamondae Coleman scored 14 points to lead the Diamondbacks, who got 11 points apiece from Taiga Miyano and Andrue Aguilera.

Coronado 63, Green Valley 48 — At Coronado, Matt Johnson scored 14 points, and Jake DesJardins added 12 points and nine rebounds to lead the Cougars to victory over the Gators.

Nick Kornieck had 13 points, and Travis Bowman added eight points and nine rebounds for Coronado.

Romello Jones and Kris Nicholas each scored 10 points to pace Green Valley.

Centennial 75, Bonanza 54 — At Bonanza, Darrian Traylor scored 15 points to lead a balanced attack as the Bulldogs topped the Bengals.

Kamakana Winquist had 13 points, and Troy Brown scored 12 for Centennial, which led 31-16 after one quarter and 50-24 at halftime.

John Holden led Bonanza with 13 points. Jamal Logan added 12 points, and D.J. Fletcher scored 11 for the Bengals, who got 10 points from Davian Jordan.

Valley 85, Silverado 53 — At Silverado, Nick Brannon scored 20 points, and the Vikings overcame an early 22-19 deficit to down the Skyhawks.

Shea Garland added 15 points, and Cameron Burton scored 13 for Valley, which got 12 points from Taveon Jackson.

Matthew Arnold paced Silverado with 18 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks. Jireh Johnson had 16 points, and Michael Larson added 10 points for the Skyhawks.

Las Vegas 92, Liberty 53 — At Liberty, Tyler Bey scored 24 points to lead the Wildcats to a rout of the Patriots.

Devon Colley added 13 points, and Patrick Savoy scored 10 for Las Vegas, which led only 40-28 at the half.

Tai Senor led Liberty with 23 points.

Spring Mountain 73, Sandy Valley 33 — At Sandy Valley, Steve Jones scored 26 points, and the Golden Eagles rolled to a 43-14 first-quarter lead en route to a win over the Sidewinders.

Maurice Stitt added 15 points for Spring Mountain.

James Rau had 10 points for Sandy Valley.

Findlay Prep 108, Elite 1 Academy (Ariz.) 75 — At Henderson International, Allonzo Trier had 33 points, six rebounds and ofur assists to lead the Pilots to the win.

Horace Spencer added 14 points, 17 rebounds and four blocked shots, and Donnie Tillman had 17 points and 12 rebounds for Findlay.

Derryck Thornton added 13 points and 10 assists for the Pilots.
