CHICAGO — Findlay Prep’s Rashad Vaughn and Kelly Oubre combined for 25 points Wednesday to help the West team defeat the East 105-102 in the McDonald’s All-American Game.

Vaughn, who will attend UNLV, finished with 14 points on 5-for-11 shooting, including 2-for-5 on 3-pointers. Oubre, who has signed with Kansas, scored 11 but was 3-for-13 from the field.

Jahlil Okafor had 17 points and seven rebounds, and Emmanuel Mudiay scored 15 for the West.

Justin Jackson, who shared co-Most Valuable Player honors with Okafor, led the East with 23 points. The North Carolina commit was 11-of-14 shooting.

Tyus Jones made a 3 with 1:46 left to get the East within 99-98, and his fadeaway baseline jumper gave the East a 103-102 lead with 47.7 seconds left. But Okafor, Jones’ future Duke teammate, gave the West the lead back for a good with a dunk with 40 seconds left.

Indiana commit James Blackmon Jr. missed a 3 with 2.9 seconds left that would have tied the score for the East.

Vaughn made a jumper and then had a dunk to give the West an 82-74 lead midway through the second half, but Jackson kept the East in the game, scoring seven points in a 2:10 span.

Mudiay, who will attend Southern Methodist, drove the lane for a dunk in the final seconds to close out the first half as the West cut the East lead to 51-50.

Jackson, a North Carolina commit, led all scorers in the first half with 10 points.
