ROUNDUP: Aggies cling to third-quarter lead, edge Crusaders
Darington Banks had 25 points and 10 rebounds Friday, and Arbor View’s boys basketball team almost let a 10-point lead slip away in the fourth quarter, but held on to edge visiting Faith Lutheran, 63-61.
DeAndre Bright added 12 points and Maiscei Grier scored 11 for the Aggies, who took a 50-40 lead into the fourth quarter.
Sam Done scored 21, Wade Norman added 15 points, and Mike Smalls had 10 points for Faith Lutheran.
Palo Verde 78, Legacy 58 — At Palo Verde, Moses Morgan scored 22 points to lead the Panthers past the Longhorns.
Andrew Topham added 16 points and Davion Pearson had 10 for Palo Verde.
Sian Laine led Legacy with 15 points. Jalen Hall (12), Samuel Johnson (11) and Brian McDaniel (10) also scored in double figures for the Longhorns.
Mojave 64, Shadow Ridge 54 — At Mojave, Royale Jackson had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Rattlers past the Mustangs.
Mojave trailed by three at the break before blitzing Shadow Ridge 41-28 in the second half.
Quintarus Harper added 11 points and five assists for Mojave.
Josh Youngblood led Shadow Ridge with 13 points, and Zach Hafen scored 10.
Cheyenne 63, Centennial 49 — At Centennial, Khalid Banks had 14 points, and Xavier Johnson and Chris McCall each scored 12 to lead the Desert Shields past the Bulldogs.
Ryan Vozzola had 13 points, and Aaseem Dixon added 12 points for Centennial.
Bishop Gorman 93, Clark 64 — At Clark, Shabazz Muhammad scored 20 points as the Gaels defeated the Chargers.
Ryan Parks added 16 points, Taylor Spencer 14 and Rosco Allen 12 for the Gaels, who led 51-29 at the half.
Steven Dancy had 25 points to lead Clark.
Durango 66, Bonanza 57 — At Bonanza, Greg Gentry had 19 points as the Trailblazers downed the Bengals.
Donovan Williams added 15 points, and Shawn Jones contributed 13 for Durango.
Dasean Martin had 24 points to pace Bonanza, which cut the lead to four late in the fourth quarter.
Desert Oasis 96, Pahrump Valley 39 — At Pahrump Valley, Nick Cruz had 16 points to lead the Diamondbacks in a rout of the Trojans.
Zach Bobenhausen added 12 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for Desert Oasis.
Cameron Mich’l had 15 points, Anthony Lianzo 13, Cameron Jefferson 11 and Sirak Alemu 10 for the Diamondbacks.
Las Vegas 81, Liberty 55 — At Las Vegas, Tyree Anderson led all scorers with 24 points, and the Wildcats drained 10 3-pointers in an easy victory against the Patriots.
Tanner Chauncey scored 18 points for Las Vegas, which led 44-11 at the half.
Hasaan Henderson had 12 points and Saeveon Butler added 10 points for Las Vegas.
Tim Rambo had 15 points, and Ashante Ross scored 12 points to lead Liberty.
Virgin Valley 58, Basic 43 — At Basic, the Bulldogs went 9-for-10 from the free throw line and outscored the Wolves 22-6 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.
Austin Cloes scored a game-high 18 points, Cameron Jensen had 13 points, and Zach Horlacher and Jason Wittwer each added 11 points for Virgin Valley.
Vince Carducci had 14 points, and Tyler Dobbins had 13 points for Basic.
Boulder City 52, Moapa Valley 49 — At Overton, Kyle Dimpel had two field goals, and Preston Swasey hit four free throws in overtime as the Eagles edged the Pirates.
Dimpel finished with 22 points and Swasey scored 12.
Moapa Valley’s James Frehner completed a three-point play with nine seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
Casen Lewis led the Pirates with 11 points.
Agassi Prep 72, Mountain View 66 — At Mountain View, Quincy Brown had 26 points and 17 rebounds to help the Stars hold off a late charge by the Saints.
Dimitri Amos added 15 points and 17 rebounds for Agassi Prep, which jumped to a 23-9 first-quarter lead.
Justyn Anderson logged 28 points, four assists and four steals to lead Mountain View.
The Meadows 65, White Pine 41 — At Ely, Garrett Gosse drained 23 points to lead the Mustangs past the Bobcats.
Austin Brown added 13 points and Max Newman contributed 12 for The Meadows.
Michael Johnson led White Pine with 22 points and 15 rebounds.
Lincoln County 80, Calvary Chapel 35 — At Calvary Chapel, Dantley Walker poured in 32 points to help the Lynx rout the Lions.
Eric Rippetoe added 22 points for Lincoln County.
Tyler Moore led Calvary Chapel with 15 points, and Denzel Morris added 13 points.
Spring Mountain 66, Sandy Valley 23 — At Sandy Valley, De’Andre Hampton and Leon Saunders each scored 14 points, and the Eagles raced to a 40-9 halftime lead to cruise past the Sidewinders.
Patrick Hartung and Ryan Hagan each had eight points for Sandy Valley.
Lake Mead 60, Round Mountain 12 — At Lake Mead, Landon Littlefield scored 21 points and had five assists to lead the Eagles in routing the Knights.
L.J. Yamzon and De’Quan Thompson each added 10 points for Lake Mead.
Tonopah 37, Henderson International 20 — At Henderson International, Adam Thackery scored 14 points to help the Muckers beat the Wolverines.
Keenan Gladd-Brown and Jay Sutorius each added five points for Henderson International. Gladd-Brown also grabbed nine rebounds.
Beatty 79, Lund 20 — At Beatty, Anthony Regalado scored 18 points, and the Hornets used a 31-2 third-quarter run to rout the Mustangs.
Ramiro Hernandez added 13 points, and Anthony Turner had 10 for the Hornets.
Luke Hair scored 14 points for Lund.
