ROUNDUP: Coronado boys edge Liberty in overtime
Brandon Glanz had eight of his game-high 31 points in overtime as Coronado edged visiting Liberty 76-75 on Tuesday.
Glanz added 19 rebounds and six blocked shots.
The Cougars made 9 of 10 free throws in overtime to seal the win.
Coronado trailed 52-48 entering the fourth quarter, but Austin Nelson drove the lane and dished to Glanz for the game-tying hoop with one second left in regulation.
Gaven Holcomb had 12 points and Drew Badillo added 11 for the Cougars. Nelson had 14 assists.
Tim Rambo led Liberty with 18 points, and teammate Ashante Ross scored 15.
Cimarron-Memorial 70, Cheyenne 63 — At Cimarron, Kevin Olekaibe scored 40 points as the Spartans held off the Desert Shields.
Olekaibe had 12 points in the first quarter as Cimarron took a 19-6 lead.
Erik Brewer had 13 points, 14 rebounds and six steals for the Spartans.
Xavian Johnson led Cheyenne with 14 points. Chris McCall added 11 points and Ivan Harper had 10 for the Desert Shields.
Centennial 73, Arbor View 69 — At Centennial, Ben Vozzola had 28 points and Aaseem Dixon scored 26 as the Bulldogs held off the Aggies.
Centennial was 10-for-10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Ryan Vozzola added nine points and 16 rebounds for Centennial.
Darington Banks led Arbor View with 27 points. Anthony Trepagnier added 19 points, and Maiscei Grier scored 10 for the Aggies.
Basic 62, Silverado 59 — At Basic, John Polin had 24 points, and Vince Carducci scored 16 to lift the Wolves past the Skyhawks.
Basic’s Kevin Bayes grabbed 10 rebounds, and Tyler Dobbins had 10 assists for the Wolves.
Ruben Jackson had 22 points to pace Silverado, which made only 5-of-21 free throws.
David Lutomski added 12 points and Dwayne Marshall had 11 for Silverado.
Legacy 65, Faith Lutheran 62 — At Legacy, Ira Haywood had 16 points, and Samuel Johnson scored 13 to help the Longhorns edge the Crusaders.
Sian Laine added 11 points and seven assists, and Zach Lane had nine rebounds for Legacy, which led 24-14 after the first quarter.
Brett Lubbe led Faith Lutheran with 21 points. Sam Done scored 18 points and Greg Thomas added 17 for the Crusaders.
Foothill 85, Green Valley 69 — At Foothill, Evan Roquemore had 27 points and eight assists to lead the Falcons past the Gators.
Brannon Cressanto added 19 points for Foothill, which jumped out to a 21-9 lead after one quarter.
Deandre Kambala had 14 points and Glenn Bewley added 13 for Green Valley.
Del Sol 65, Tech 43 — At Del Sol, Jeff Coon had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Devontti Gilmore supplied 16 points as the Dragons beat the Roadrunners.
James Johnson pulled down 16 boards to go with eight points for Del Sol.
Ben Seibert scored 20 points and Michael Johnson had 10 for Tech.
Bishop Gorman 66, Spring Valley 41 — At Spring Valley, Anson Winder had 10 of his 14 points in the first half as the Gaels cruised past the Grizzlies.
Ryan Parks added 10 points for Gorman, which held Spring Valley to four third-quarter points.
Corey Clement scored 13 points and Anton Stallworth had 12 for Spring Valley.
Palo Verde 99, Mojave 57 — At Palo Verde, Moses Morgan scored 11 of his 26 points in the first quarter as the Panthers increased a 29-13 first-quarter lead to 55-23 at the half en route to their rout of the Rattlers.
Delron Mims and Andrew Topham each had 16 points, and Eris Winder scored 11 for Palo Verde.
Royale Jackson paced Mojave with 13 points.
Adelson School 56, Mountain View JV 31 — At Mountain View, Aaron Lapping scored 17 points, and the Lions bolted to a 39-15 halftime lead en route to the win.
Gabi Bornstein added 10 points for Adelson.
