ROUNDUP: Needles works double overtime to defeat Mountain View boys
Anthony Ramos had 29 points and seven assists Saturday as Needles’ boys basketball team outlasted visiting Mountain View, 92-87 in double overtime.
Aaron Burns had 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Mustangs, and Michael Hills contributed 18 points, 10 assists and six steals.
Justyn Anderson paced Mountain View with 46 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Cortland LeBoeuf had 16 points and six steals for the Saints. Trevor Van Kempen added 16 points for Mountain View, and Karl Benjamin grabbed 16 rebounds.
Faith Lutheran 58, Boulder City 49 — At Faith Lutheran, Sam Done scored 10 points during a 21-10 second-quarter spurt that helped the Crusaders defeat Boulder City.
Done finished with 24 points.
Kyle Dimpel had 13 points and Preston Swasey 12 for the Eagles.
Pahranagat Valley 53, Moapa Valley 44 — At Alamo, Cody Hosier poured in 29 points to lead the Panthers past the Pirates.
Jeremy Roemer added eight rebounds for Pahranagat Valley, which took control with a 13-5 run in the second quarter.
James Frehner had 11 points and 11 rebounds for Moapa Valley. Josh Thompson added 11 points for the Pirates, and Kelan Weiss pulled down 11 rebounds.
Virgin Valley 46, Cedar City (Utah) 40 — At Cedar City, Utah, Jason Wittwer scored all but one of his 13 points in the third quarter to help Virgin Valley defeat Cedar City.
Wittwer added seven rebounds and three assists. Cameron Jensen and Zach Horlacher each had nine points for the Bulldogs.
Lincoln County 95, The Meadows 57 — At Southwest Career and Technical Academy, Dantley Walker and Eric Rippetoe each scored 30 points as Lincoln County pulled away from The Meadows.
Walker added 10 assists and six rebounds, and Rippetoe had nine rebounds. Bruce Condie scored 12 points, and Jason Wheatley had 10 rebounds for the Lynx.
Austin Brown paced the Mustangs with 17 points. Garrett Gosse added 15 points and Dylan Lee 11 for The Meadows.
Agassi Prep 60, White Pine 36 — At Agassi Prep, Quincy Brown had 24 points and seven rebounds to help the Stars shoot past White Pine.
Dimitri Amos added 14 points, 13 rebounds and seven steals, and Curtis Watson had nine points and nine rebounds for Agassi Prep.
Michael Johnson paced the Bobcats with 18 points.
West Wendover 67, Calvary Chapel 31 — At Henderson International, Miles Bostock scored 14 points to lead the Wolverines past the Lions.
Corey Bostock added 13 points, Drew Arrien 11 and Homero Quinonez 10 for West Wendover, which outscored Calvary Chapel 31-7 in the fourth quarter.
Brandon Corbitt led Calvary Chapel with 10 points.
Henderson International 73, Lund 52 — At Lund, Keenan Gladd-Brown registered 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Wolverines topped the Mustangs.
Cal Rivera added 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Jay Sutorius had 16 points for Henderson International.
Spring Mountain 65, Tonopah 61 — At Tonopah, Leon Saunders drained a pair of fourth-quarter 3-pointers and finished with 22 points to help the Eagles rally from a 47-44 deficit and down the Muckers.
DeAndre Hampton added 15 points, Marvelle Dunson 12 and Darrius Thomas 10 for Spring Mountain.
Adam Thackery led the Muckers with 17 points, and teammate Daniel Arias scored 13.
Beatty 63, Trinity 59 — At Mirabelli Gym, Anthony Regalado poured in 29 points to help the Hornets hold on and beat the Thunder.
Ramiro Hernandez scored 13 points, and Ivan Maldonado added 10 points for Beatty.
Budweiser Hawkins had 29 points and Gage Neuwohner 10 for the Thunder.
Round Mountain 69, Sandy Valley 33 — At Round Mountain, Will Sweeney led 13 different scorers with 12 points for the Knights in a rout of Sandy Valley.
Mitchell Doheny added 11 points for the Knights.
Patrick Hartung scored 15 points, and Ryan Hagan added 10 for the Sidewinders.
