Roundup: Palo Verde edges Centennial in overtime

Connor Peterson had 14 points Monday to help Palo Verde’s boys basketball team to a 58-56 overtime win over visiting Centennial.

Harlan Nichols had 12 points for Palo Verde and Kade Madsen scored 11, including a layup to send the game into overtime as time expired in regulation.

Craig Comanche had 26 points for Centennial, and Jairus Dickson had added points for the Bulldogs.

Shadow Ridge 82, Bonanza 80 — At Shadow Ridge, Garin MacFarlane had 30 points and 10 assists as the Mustangs edged the Bengals.

Erin Chamble scored 16 points, and Josiah Cruz had 12 points for Shadow Ridge.

Kendall Burrell led Bonanza with 21 points. Joseph Brooks and Trent Savage each scored 19 points, and Kadin Warner scored 13 points for the Bengals, who led 54-52 entering the fourth quarter.

Arbor View 75, Cimarron-Memorial 64 — At Arbor View, Tyre Williams scored 20 points to help the Aggies take down the Spartans and clinch the Northwest League title.

Larry Holmes had 12 points for Arbor View, and teammate Ziyon White scored 11.

Brian Lang scored 21 points for Cimarron. Noah Do and JaiTwan Golden scored 18 and 14 points, respectively, for the Spartans.

Liberty 79, Green Valley 69 — At Liberty, Julian Strawther had 25 points to lead the Patriots over the Gators.

Kobe Stroughter added 20 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, for Liberty. Lorenzo Abellar added 17 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, for the Patriots.

Zachary Hammer scored 17 to pace Green Valley. Dayvon Rowe added 16 points, Tom Stanley had 14 points, and Antoine Hines scored 13 for the Gators.

Clark 87, Desert Oasis 47 — At Desert Oasis, Jalen Hill scored 21 points as the Chargers defeated the Diamondbacks.

Carlos Allen and Julius Lenon each scored 14 points for Clark, which led 28-9 after one quarter.

Dominique Ford had 14 points for Desert Oasis.

Coronado 85, Basic 38 — At Basic, Jhaylon Martinez had 21 points to lead the Cougars to the win over the Wolves.

Coronado’s Jaden Hardy and Richard Isaacs each scored 13 points, and teammate Felix Reeves had 12 points. Coronado led 53-23 at the half.

Joseph Ramirez led Basic with 15 points.

Foothill 82, Tech 50 — At Foothill, Dylan Hushaw scored 20 points as the Falcons defeated the Roadrunners.

Rudger Welch and Westly Rosa each scored 12 points for Foothill, which got 11 points from Jace Roquemore.

Andrew Luong and Luis Avila each scored 12 points for Tech.

Chaparral 65, Sunrise Mountain 40 — At Chaparral, Meshach Hawkins had 16 points, 10 rebounds, seven assistsand six steals as the Cowboys rolled past the Miners.

Sameal Anderson scored 13 points, and Cairyn Bray added 10 points and nine rebounds for Chaparral, which used a 21-4 third-quarter run to pull away.

Caleb Harris led Sunrise Mountain with 14 points, and Dai’Quan Sykes scored 13 for the Miners.

Boulder City 81, Sky Pointe 50 — At Boulder City, Ethan Speaker had 22 points and 11 rebounds as Boulder City rolled past Sky Pointe.

Boulder City had 24 assists and also made 10 3-point baskets.

Matt Morton scored 21 points, Karson Bailey scored 18 points, and Derrick Thomas had 10 points and seven assists for Boulder City.

Sky Pointe’s Nijel Murray scored 15 points, and teammate Arrey Akoh had 12 points.

Calvary Chapel 55, Lake Mead 46 — At Lake Mead, Dylan Sims scored 15 points to lift the Lions over the Eagles.

Yorgo Bouharb scored 14 points, and J.J. Robinson had 12 points for Calvary Chapel.

Donte Bristol scored 27 points for Lake Mead.

Beatty 45, Liberty Baptist 41 — At Beatty, the Hornets edged the Knights.

Isai Valdez, L.J. DeSoto and Trevor Campbell each scored eight points for Liberty Baptist.

GV Christian 70, Founders Academy 52 — At Founders Academy, the Guardians beat the Centurions.
