ROUNDUP: Porter, Burks rally Aggie boys past Cougars

Charles Porter and Justin Burks combined to score 17 points in the fourth quarter Monday and lead Arbor View’s boys basketball team to a 71-65 win over visiting Coronado.

Burks had eight points in the fourth and paced the Aggies with 22 points. Porter tallied nine of his 17 points in the final quarter, helping Arbor View rally from a 51-48 deficit.

Isaiah Simmons added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Terrell Butler supplied 11 points for Arbor View, which got nine points, six assists and five steals from Navonte Hill.

Jordan Willis led Coronado with 27 points. Justice Augmon scored 15, and Charlie Teixeira had 11 points for the Cougars.

Desert Pines 99, Sunrise Mountain 59 — At Desert Pines, Donavin Wright tallied 23 points, and the Jaguars bolted to a 31-6 first-quarter lead on their way to a rout of the Miners.

Julian Jacobs added 22 points, and Re’meake Keith scored 12 for Desert Pines.

Jason Ford paced Sunrise Mountain with 24 points.
