ROUNDUP: Second-quarter run helps Sierra Vista boys top Trojans

Reggie Turner scored 13 points Monday night to help Sierra Vista’s boys basketball team to a 57-40 home victory over Pahrump Valley.

Larry Jones added nine points, and Giovanni Santana scored eight for the Mountain Lions, who outscored the Trojans 18-4 in the second quarter to take a 27-17 lead.

Quan Cotton led Pahrump with nine points.

Clark 82, Del Sol 51 — At Clark, Sir Washington led five players in double figures with 14 points to lead the Chargers over the Dragons.

Sherron Wilson scored 12 points, Jordan Turner added 11 points and Malcolm Davis and Diontae Jones each scored 10 for Clark.

Jonross Juhas had 13 points to lead Del Sol. Rashon Lawson scored 11 points, and Tyrone Rouse added 10 points for the Dragons.

Valley 81, Shadow Ridge 39 — At Valley, the Vikings jumped out to a 29-12 lead after one quarter and rolled past the Mustangs.

Spencer Mathis scored a game-high 18 points to lead Valley. Daniel Young had 13 points, and Ryan Johnson scored 11 for the Vikings.

Kealyn Butler scored 15 points to lead Shadow Ridge.

Needles 52, River Valley (Ariz.) 45 — At Needles, Phillip Chavez had 12 points and 10 rebounds to help the Mustangs top the Dust Devils.

Mason Cisneros and Devin Truscott each added 12 points for Needles, which was 18-for-21 from the free-throw line.

Cisneros was 6-for-6 from the line in the fourth quarter to help the Mustangs hang on.

Spring Mountain 63, Adelson School 44 — At Saville Middle School, Develle Williams had 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles past the Lions.

Roemello Tatum and Christopher Munro each had 12 points for Spring Mountain, which never looked back after taking a 20-6 first-quarter lead.

Mendi Berrebi paced Adelson with 13 points, and teammates Robert Blackwell and Sean Perry each scored 10.
