SLAM Academy edges Lake Mead in overtime
Jamaal Carr scored 20 points and the SLAM Academy boys basketball team edged visiting Lake Mead 64-61 in overtime on Monday.
Londan Coleman and Jake Basterholt each added 10 points for the Bulls, and Cyrus Sanchez hit three key free throws in overtime to help seal the win.
Lake Mead’s Kaiaokumulani led all scorers with 24 points. Ryan Kennedy added 10 points for the Eagles, who trailed 31-14 at the half before rallying to force overtime.
