GIRLS BASKETBALL: Brown, Basic upset Coronado
Jayla Brown had 30 points and 12 rebounds Monday to help Basic’s girls basketball team rally for a 64-56 win over visiting Coronado.
Dana Deloney added 17 points for the Wolves, who trailed 27-23 at the half.
Grace Green had 27 points for the Cougars.
Palo Verde 55, Shadow Ridge 46 — At Palo Verde, Brooklyn Cruz scored 29 points as the Panthers downed the Mustangs.
Paulina Silcox added 10 points for Palo Verde.
Kaila Hurley, Jaylan Johnson and Jadah Preston each had 11 points for Shadow Ridge.
Valley 62, Las Vegas 41 — At Las Vegas, Kennedy Wharton had 21 points to lead the Vikings to victory over the Wildcats.
Gabrielle Cabanero added 20 points for Valley, which outscored Las Vegas 38-15 in the middle quarters.
Eimainei Thomas-Palmer scored 10 points for the Vikings.
Shaleea Butler scored 30 to lead Las Vegas.
Durango 45, Spring Valley 31 — At Spring Valley, the Trailblazers pulled away in the second half to down the Grizzlies.
Jazmin Chavez led all scorers with 15 points for Durango, which outscored Spring Valley 22-11 in the second half.
Izzy Anderson led Spring Valley with seven points.
Rancho 55, Silverado 28 — At Rancho, Kanosha Gray had 13 points as the Rams downed the Skyhawks.
LaKissa Martin added 10 points for Rancho, and teammate Tiana Collins pulled down 13 rebounds.
Monet Salazar led Silverado with 10 points.
Eldorado 54, Del Sol 50 — At Eldorado, DeNisheun Jackson had 24 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocked shots, and Deasia Walker scored 14 as the Sundevils defeated the Dragons.
Del Sol’s Sayanna Roy had 28 points, and teammate Azhwalaee Oliver scored 10.
Arbor View 65, Sierra Vista 12 — At Arbor View, Ariona Gill scored 16 points as the Aggies routed the Mountain Lions.
Kennedy Nieves had four points for Sierra Vista, which trailed 39-10 at the half and 55-10 after three quarters.
Lake Mead 37, Mountain View 34 — At Mountain View, Taylor Webb scored 15 points to lead the Eagles by the Saints.
Savannah Schmidt added 14 points for Lake Mead.
Kiley Murphy had 14 points, and teammate Rose Adkins scored 11 for Mountain View.
