GIRLS BASKETBALL: Ethridge, Bulldogs roll visiting Aggies
Justice Ethridge scored 26 points Thursday as Centennial’s girls basketball team rolled to an 88-62 home victory over Arbor View.
Karina Brandon and Pam Wilmore each scored 16 points for the Bulldogs, who led 31-13 after one quarter.
Katrina Nordstrom led the Aggies with 15 points. Janae Strode added 14 points, and teammate Caroline Rivera scored 13 for Arbor View.
Las Vegas 45, Desert Pines 42 — At Desert Pines, Bianca Matlock scored 16 points to lead the Wildcats past the Jaguars.
Desert Pines had a chance to tie the game, but missed a 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded.
Jada Williams added 13 points, and Teconna Dyer scored 11 for the Wildcats.
Chrystian Myles scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Jaguars. See’Airrah Evans-Collins had 20 rebounds for Desert Pines.
Rancho 58, Eldorado 29 — At Rancho, LaKissa Martin had 21 points and seven steals as the Rams raced past the Sundevils.
Maureen Macato added 14 points for Rancho, which led 33-15 at halftime.
Skyler Lomasney led Eldorado with 13 points.
Liberty 62, Silverado 33 — At Silverado, the Patriots opened the game with an 18-2 run and rolled past the Skyhawks.
Paris Strawther had 17 points, and Nancy Caballero scored 10 for Liberty.
Monet Salazar led Silverado with 14 points.
Green Valley 69, Basic 32 — At Green Valley, Brooke Haney scored 20 points to guide the Gators past the Wolves.
Gracelle Garcia had 14 points, and Gwen Garcia supplied 12 points and five assists for Green Valley.
Dana Deloney led Basic with 13 points.
Canyon Springs 69, Valley 14 — At Valley, LaKiya Yarber scored 14 points to help the Pioneers to an easy victory over the Vikings.
Daijhan Cooks had 12 points, and Alexia Thrower scored 10 points for Canyon Springs.
The Pioneers led 39-1 after one quarter and 60-1 at the half.
Cimarron-Memorial 62, Bonanza 20 — At Bonanza, Ashli Tyus scored 15 points as the Spartans ran away from the Bengals.
Chardonae Alston and Zaquae Downton each scored 12 points for the Spartans.
Alyssa Powers scored eight points to lead the Bengals.
Round Mountain 58, Adelson School 26 — At Adelson, Alyssa Hanks poured in 38 points, and the Knights used an 18-2 run in the third quarter to pull away from the Lions.
Hanks finished 15-for-17 from the free-throw line.
Camryn Armstrong led Adelson with 12 points.
