GIRLS BASKETBALL: Martin, Rams rally to defeat Wolves

LaKissa Martin scored seven of her 20 points in the fourth quarter Thursday to help Rancho’s girls basketball team rally for a 40-28 home win over Basic.

Tatianna Lee scored all six of her points in the fourth quarter as the Rams finished the game on a 20-4 run. Maureen Macato scored 10 points for Rancho.

Jayla Brown led the Wolves with 15 points.

Foothill 56, Green Valley 49 — At Foothill, Taylor Turney had 18 points and seven assists to guide the Falcons past the Gators.

Kylie Vint had 12 points and 14 rebounds, and Mikayla Yeakel scored 13 for Foothill, which trailed 23-19 at the half.

Brooke Haney scored 12 points, and Ellee Barton added 10 points for Green Valley.

Centennial 80, Desert Oasis 59 — At Centennial, Justice Ethridge scored 20 points to lead the Bulldogs by the Diamondbacks.

Karina Brandon scored 15 points, and Alex Dockery added 14 points for Centennial, which used a 30-12 second-quarter run to take control.

Mikala Kirby scored 23 points, and Ashlynn Sharp had 15 points for Desert Oasis, which got 11 points from KePatriot Simpson.

Las Vegas 65, Valley 44 — At Las Vegas, Teconna Dyer had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Wildcats by the Vikings.

Bianca Matlock had 18 points, and Armonnie Byrd added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jada Williams had 11 points for Las Vegas, which outscored Valley 46-25 in the second half and went 29 of 61 from the free-throw line in the game.

Kate Bordenave led Valley with 11 points.

Coronado 66, Eldorado 56 — At Coronado, Samantha Green had 21 points and nine rebounds as the Cougars rallied past the Sundevils.

Karlie Thorn added 16 points, and Kayla Watterson had 14 points and nine rebounds for Coronado, which used a 23-11 third-quarter run to erase a 32-25 halftime deficit.

Arbor View 65, Bonanza 23 — At Bonanza, Janae Strode scored 13 points, and the Aggies bolted to a 25-6 first-quarter lead and never looked back.

Katie Wolfram and Ariona Gill each added nine points for Arbor View.

Stephanie Camarolinga and Brooklyn Savage each had seven points for Bonanza.
