GIRLS BASKETBALL: Siaki’s 3-pointer buries Spartans

Deja Siaki’s 3-pointer with 2.5 seconds left in the game Tuesday lifted Silverado’s girls basketball team to a 45-44 win over visiting Cimarron-Memorial.

Siaki finished with 18 points for the Skyhawks, who led 38-36 after three quarters but trailed 44-42 before Siaki’s winning shot. Monet Salazar added 11 points for Silverado.

Shauntel Efferson had 15 points, and Zaquae Downton scored 12 for the Spartans.

Centennial 81, Desert Hills (Utah) 43 — At St. George, Utah, Jayden Eggleston had 25 points and 19 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs by the Thunder.

Pam Wilmore added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Justice Ethridge scored 12 points for Centennial, which led 52-20 at the half.

Palo Verde 69, Bonanza 41 — At Bonanza, Paulina Silcox scored 14 points, and Brooklyn Cruz had 12 points to guide the Panthers past the Bengals.

Alaysia Reed added 10 points for Palo Verde, which used a 17-3 second-quarter run to pull away.

Alexis Harris scored 11 points to lead Bonanza.

Canyon Springs 72, Durango 40 — At Durango, Alexia Thrower scored 19 points, and Daijahn Cooks added 16 points as the Pioneers routed the Trailblazers.

Dre’una Edwards had 11 points for Canyon Springs, which led 45-17 at halftime.

Brittany Romo had nine points for Durango.

Boulder City 52, Western 24 — At Western, Megan Morton scored 25 of her 29 points in the middle two quarters as the Eagles overcame an early 7-4 deficit and routed the Warriors.

Destiny Gonzalez had 14 points, and Capricia Pierce scored 10 for Western.

Arbor View 59, Las Vegas 36 — At Arbor View, Ariona Gill had 17 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, and Janae Strode added 10 points as the Aggies routed the Wildcats.

Bianca Matlock poured in a game-high 21 points to lead Las Vegas.

Liberty 70, Rancho 28 — At Liberty, Paris Strawther had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Patriots by the Rams.

Kaily Kaimikaua added 15 points, and Nancy Caballero had nine points and 12 rebounds for Liberty, which led 40-16 at the half.

Tatianna Lee had 13 points for Rancho.

Desert Oasis 62, Sierra Vista 43 — At Desert Oasis, Mikala Kirby poured in 26 points to help the Diamondbacks best the Mountain Lions.

Taryn Lampkin added 16 points for Desert Oasis, which jumped out to a 17-4 first-quarter lead.

Kelsey Jimenez scored 13 points, and Kennedy Nieves had 10 points for Sierra Vista.

Spring Valley 67, Green Valley 53 — At Green Valley, Kayla Harris poured in 26 points, and Essence Booker had 20 points to lead the Grizzlies past the Gators.

Gwen Garcia had 16 points, and Gracelle Garcia scored 11 points to lead Green Valley.

Eldorado 56, Del Sol 41 — At Del Sol, Deasia Walker tallied 25 points to pace the Sundevils’ win over the Dragons.

Azhwalaee Oliver had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Astrid Rodriguez scored 12 for Del Sol.

Shadow Ridge 60, Valley 18 — At Shadow Ridge, Amira King had 11 points, six steals, six rebounds and five assists to lead the Mustangs to victory over the Vikings.

Aubree Nish added 10 points for Shadow Ridge, which got eight points and eight rebounds from Kiyana Tolbert.

Faith Lutheran 62, Virgin Valley 38 — At Faith Lutheran, Haley Vinson led four double-figure scorers with 15 points as the Crusaders downed the Bulldogs.

Morgan Hill and Madison Bocobo each had 11 points, and Bobbi Tharaldson scored 10 for Faith Lutheran, which led 34-13 at halftime.

Kourtney Metzger and Emma Barnum scored eight points apiece for Virgin Valley.

Chaparral 58, Basic 52 — At Basic, Marcia Hawkins had 13 points, and the Cowboys used a 35-22 run in the middle two quarters to top the Wolves.

Jayla Brown and Dana Deloney each had 18 points for Basic.

Mountain View 57, Indian Springs 17 — At Mountain View, Kiley Murphy had 20 points as the Saints routed the Thunderbirds.

Rose Adkins had 17 points and 10 steals, and Nia Van Kempen added 11 points for Mountain View.

Cheyanne Noyes led Indian Springs with nine points.
