GIRLS BASKETBALL: Ybarra, Boulder City down Virgin Valley

Alyssa Ybarra had 26 points and six steals Thursday to help Boulder City’s girls basketball team to a 58-49 home win over Virgin Valley.

Megan Morton scored 14 points, and Whitney Barlow had 10 points for the Eagles.

Abbie Barnard had 20 points for the Bulldogs.

Desert Pines 49, Chaparral 40 — At Chaparral, Chrystian Myles supplied 21 points, and the Jaguars defeated the Cowboys.

Desert Pines led 28-19 at the half and outscored Chaparral 15-2 in the third quarter to take control.

Marcia Hawkins led the Cowboys with 22 points.

Sunrise Mountain 49, Moapa Valley 30 — At Overton, Brittany Veal scored 16 points to lead the Miners over the Pirates.

Ayla Diaz added 13 points for Sunrise Mountain, which outscored Moapa Valley 20-9 in the third quarter to pull away.

DaniElle Russo led Moapa Valley with 13 points.

Bonanza 46, Cimarron-Memorial 41 — At Cimarron, Brooklyn Savage scored 20 points — including four 3-pointers — to lead the Bengals past the Spartans.

Tanganika Hunt added 13 points, and Alexis Harris had eight points and 17 rebounds for Bonanza.

Ashli Tyus, Shataya Harper and Zaquae Downton had 10 points each for Cimarron.

Bishop Gorman 56, Legacy 47 — At Legacy, Raychel Stanley scored 22 points to lift the Gaels over the Longhorns.

Maddison Washington added 18 points for Gorman.

Carolina Rahkonen led Legacy with 21 points, and teammate Charleea Armstrong scored 11.

Centennial 70, Desert Oasis 31 — At Centennial, Karina Brandon scored 15 points, and the Bulldogs grabbed an early 20-2 lead on their way to an easy win over the Diamondbacks.

Paige Barber added 11 points, and Simone Barber scored 10 for Centennial.

Mikala Kirby led Desert Oasis with 12 points.

Western 54, Cheyenne 35 — At Western, Destiny Gonzalez scored 22 points to lead the Warriors past the Desert Shields.

Capricia Pierce added 17 points for Western.

Marisha Harden scored 10 points to lead Cheyenne.

Pahrump Valley 23, Mojave 20 — At Mojave, Alyssa Murphy scored seven points as the Trojans edged the Rattlers.

Shayla Dance added six points for Pahrump Valley, which outscored Mojave 8-5 in the fourth quarter.

Rayena Rael supplied 13 points to lead Mojave.
