Class 4A
1. Centennial (1-0, LW 1) — The Bulldogs rattled off a blowout win in their season-opener.
2. Liberty (4-0) — The Patriots looked strong in their quest to return to the top of the Sunrise Region.
3. Spring Valley (3-2, LW 3) — The Grizzlies beat nationally ranked Regis Jesuit (Colorado) in California.
4. Desert Oasis (2-0, LW 4) — The Diamondbacks look like a force in the Sunset Region.
5. Bishop Gorman (1-1, LW 5) — The Southwest League is stacked, and the Gaels aren’t going anywhere.
6. Coronado (3-1, LW 7) — The Cougars were idle this week, and don’t play until next Friday.
7. Green Valley (4-1, LW 10) — The Gators haven’t won the Southeast League since 2009, but look to contend this year.
8. Faith Lutheran (3-3, LW 6) — The Crusaders polish off their non-league schedule with Silverado on Friday.
9. Legacy (1-1, LW unranked) — The Longhorns picked up a league win Tuesday, and look for another Thursday.
10. Cimarron-Memorial (4-2, LW unranked) — The Spartans jumped into the rankings with a strong showing.
Class 3A
1. Moapa Valley (4-0, LW 3) — The Pirates have rolled through the early part of their schedule.
2. Pahrump Valley (5-2, LW unranked) — Could the Trojans return to the playoffs for the second year in a row? Early returns look good.
3. Cheyenne (1-3, LW 2) — The Desert Shields were idle last week, and return to the court Wednesday.
4. Virgin Valley (3-2, LW 1) — The Bulldogs have a rivalry game with Moapa Valley on Tuesday.
5. Boulder City (2-2, LW unranked) — The Eagles won two in a row after dropping the two before that.
Class 2A
1. Democracy Prep (1-0, LW 1) — The Blue Knights play at Class 3A Cheyenne on Wednesday.
2. Needles (7-2, LW 2) — The Mustangs have started their state title defense with a bang.
3. Lincoln County (4-1, LW 3) — The Lynx got an early start on a league play with a 56-7 win Tuesday.
4. Lake Mead (1-3, LW 5) — The Eagles look to rebound from an early league loss at Adelson school Thursday.
5. Laughlin (1-5, LW 4) — The Cougars had a rough trip to Arizona for the River Valley Invitational.
Class 1A
1. Pahranagat Valley (3-0, LW 1) — The Panthers play in another tournament this weekend, this time the Comstock Classic.
2. Round Mountain (2-1, LW 2) — The Knights are off to a good start after reaching the state tournament for the third straight year.
3. Beatty (0-1, LW 3) — The Hornets play in the Beaver Dam Tournament this weekend.
4. Word of Life (2-1, LW unranked) — The Eagles will be challenged by Class 4A Bonanza on Thursday.
5. Tonopah (1-1, LW 4) — The Muckers are off to Whittell this weekend.
