ROUNDUP: Ford-Wheaton helps Warriors girls cruise past Bonanza

Aleya Ford-Wheaton poured in 17 points Tuesday, and Western’s girls basketball team built a 31-15 halftime lead on its way to a 60-40 win at Bonanza.

Mylasia Smith had 13 points, Brittany Moreland tallied 11 points, and Guadalupe Herrera added 10 points for Western.

Tanganika Hunt and Alyssa Powers each had 14 points to lead Bonanza.

Desert Oasis 59, Sierra Vista 21 — At Sierra Vista, Brianna Osorio had 13 points, and the Diamondbacks raced to a 34-8 halftime lead en route to the win.

Auburn Smith scored 11 points, and Tatiana Kearn had 10 points for Desert Oasis.

Shaunice Epton led Sierra Vista with six points.

Bishop Gorman 55, Spring Valley 16 — At Gorman, Zhane Dikes had 14 points, and the Gaels bolted to a 27-5 first-quarter lead on their way to an easy win over the Grizzlies.

April Rivers added 11 points for Gorman.

Jana Espiritu and DeTiese Moore each recorded five points for Spring Valley.

Cimarron-Memorial 46, Arbor View 38 — At Arbor View, Traci Parks and Tiana Carter both scored 15 points as the Spartans topped the Aggies.

Dani Chaney led Arbor View with 10 points.

Shadow Ridge 61, Cheyenne 25 — At Cheyenne, Sabriya Brooks scored 18 points, and teammate Vianne Perez had 15 points to help the Mustangs cruise past the Desert Shields.

Noni Baraee led Cheyenne with 10 points.

Centennial 70, Faith Lutheran 22 — At Faith Lutheran, Tamera Williams scored 14 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Crusaders.

Tramina Jordan added 12 points, and Jada Brown supplied 11 points for Centennial.

Kelsey McCourt led Faith Lutheran with eight points.

Legacy 41, Mojave 21 — At Mojave, Laneisha Jackson scored 10 points, and the Longhorns shut out the Rattlers in the first half and cruised to victory.

Teaira Shorter led all scorers with 13 points for Mojave.

Boulder City 68, Del Sol 27 — At Boulder City, Whitney Barlow tallied 23 points and nine rebounds as the Eagles routed the Dragons.

Alyssa Ybarra recorded nine points and five steals for Boulder City.

Chloe Cabanas led the Dragons with nine points.

Moapa Valley 51, Clark 42 — At Clark, Ashley Noto poured in 19 points, and the Pirates overcame a 23-21 halftime deficit to down the Chargers.

Malary Reid added 14 points for Moapa Valley.

Bobbi Floyd paced Clark with 21 points, and teammate Lisa Ko scored 12.

Rancho 37, Virgin Valley 30 — At Rancho, Kanosha Grey scored 10 points to lead the balanced Rams past the Bulldogs.

Cassidy Crandall had 13 points for Virgin Valley, which was held to single-digit scoring in each quarter.

Needles 56, Mountain View 50 — At Mountain View, Abby Chandler scored 16 points, and the Mustangs erased a four-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to rally past the Saints.

Holly Laswell had 11 points for Needles, which used a 19-9 fourth-quarter run to close out the victory.

Briana Marruffo led Mountain View with 16 points. Caitlyn Martin had 13 points, and Kiley Murphy scored 10 for the Saints.

Calvary Chapel 56, Lake Mead 42 — At Lake Mead, Phallen Nelson pumped in all 19 of her points in the middle two quarters as the Lions topped the Eagles.

Deja Harris added nine points for Calvary Chapel, which outscored Lake Mead 37-14 in the second and third quarters.

Taylor Badua-Kono scored 15 points, and Colleen Zumaran added 14 points for Lake Mead.

Lincoln County 50, Agassi Prep 20 — At Panaca, Jaycee Wadsworth scored 15 points to help the Lynx cruise past the Stars.

Nicole Florence and Kourtney Gloeckner each added eight points for Lincoln County.

Shanice Allen scored six points for Agassi Prep, which was held to two points in both the first and third quarters.

Indian Springs 44, Adelson School 14 — At Indian Springs, Alexxa Reinke scored 14 points, and Heather Thormahlen scored 10 as the Thunderbirds routed the Lions.
