ROUNDUP: Legacy girls rally to beat Faith Lutheran
Kayla Murray’s field goal late in regulation Tuesday forced overtime, and allowed Legacy’s girls to rally for a 57-54 win over visiting Faith Lutheran.
Shakita Cox had 15 points for Legacy, which trailed 42-32 entering the fourth quarter. Latia Matthews added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Longhorns, who also got 11 points from Breanah Manley and 12 rebounds from Murray.
Kelsey McCourt led the Crusaders with 24 points, and teammate Joi Goynes added 11.
Centennial 90, Arbor View 54 — At Centennial, Ashley Klemz scored 29 points, and Alexis Byrd had 25 as the Bulldogs grabbed a 32-4 first-quarter lead in a rout of the Aggies.
Courtney Hayes scored 16 points, and Shannon Brown supplied 11 for Centennial.
Jena Valenzuela had 12 points and Shannon Hanson added 10 for Arbor View.
Cheyenne 47, Cimarron-Memorial 24 — At Cimarron, Shaunice Cameron scored 11 points to help the Desert Shields defeat the Spartans.
Cheyenne outscored Cimarron 30-5 in the middle two quarters.
Tyler Simpson tallied seven points to lead Cimarron.
Mojave 62, Palo Verde 58 — At Palo Verde, Jazzmine Robinson scored 19 points, and the Rattlers held off the Panthers.
Clarissa Cannon had 13 points, and Gabriella Mitchell added 10 for Mojave.
Alyssa Amoruso had 18 points, Jasmine Kiley had 13, and Dominque Bryant added 11 for the Panthers.
Liberty 64, Coronado 34 — At Coronado, Amanda Delgado led a balanced attack with 14 points as Liberty downed the Cougars.
Destiny Whitehead added 10 points for the Patriots, who expanded a 32-15 halftime lead to 55-25 after three quarters.
Nicole Ruffino paced Coronado with 14 points.
Silverado 47, Basic 43 — At Basic, Shea Collins scored 17 points, and Alena Evans added 11 as the Skyhawks defeated the Wolves.
Marquichea Burns scored 12 points, Kailai Brantner supplied 11, and Michaela Thomas had 10 for Basic.
Green Valley 74, Foothill 31 — At Foothill, Jazmine Jarvis scored 24 points, and Sarah Pickus supplied 22 to lead the Gators past the Falcons.
Danielle Christenson added 14 for Green Valley.
Cheryl Harless scored 14 points, and Bri Higgins had 13 for Foothill.
Tech 62, Del Sol 35 — At Tech, Kristena Wilson scored 20 points, and Mesha Phillips and Julie Harless each added 13 as the Roadrunners routed the Dragons.
Amy Austin scored 16 points to lead Del Sol.
Bishop Gorman 85, Spring Valley 28— At Spring Valley, the Gaels bolted to a 24-4 lead after one quarter and went on to rout the Grizzlies.
Aaryn Ellenberg and Chelsie Pitt each tallied 21 points for Gorman, and Zhane Dikes chipped in 14.
Shanua Patterson and Michi Taylor had eight points apiece for Spring Valley.
Virgin Valley 35, Henderson International 23 — At Henderson International, Rachel Morris scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Wolverines.
Brittany Huff and Lee Harrison each scored eight points for Henderson International.
Lincoln County 59, Enterprise (Utah) 54 — At Panaca, Marissa Smerek had 27 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead the Lynx.
Kori Gloeckner added 10 points, six assists and five steals for Lincoln County. Melanie Florence had 10 rebounds, and Mary Culverwell had six assists and seven steals for the Lynx.
Needles 62, Boulder City 60 — At Boulder City, Gena Chavira hit a 3-pointer from the wing to give Needles a 58-55 lead with 1:33 remaining and lift the Mustangs to the win.
Miranda Brackett and Alex Chandler scored 16 points each to lead Needles, which led 11-3 after the first quarter. Chavira added 11 points.
Jessi Forrester led Boulder City with 18 points. Paxton Fleming had 14, and Taylor McKeever and Karlee Koopman chipped in 12 apiece.
Lake Mead 45, Indian Springs 22— At Indian Springs, the visiting Eagles got 10 points from Samantha Herman and went on to down the Thunderbirds.
Lake Mead grabbed a 22-2 lead after one quarter.
Kristina Espinoza scored 10 points for Indian Springs.
Laughlin 39, Trinity 31 — At Laughlin, Elisa Daniels scored 15 points to help the Cougars outlast Trinity.
Brittnay Chase added 10 points for Laughlin.
Rene Calero led the Thunder with 11 points.
Mountain View JV 42, Adelson School 35 — At Mountain View, the Saints’ junior varsity team grabbed a 27-15 halftime lead and defeated Adelson.
Sueleika Blackwell scored 16 points for Adelson.
