ROUNDUP: Mack, Gators take down Cougars
Angelica Mack had 17 points, 17 rebounds and five steals Friday as Green Valley’s girls basketball team downed visiting Coronado, 49-36.
Ashleigh Foster grabbed 10 rebounds for the Gators, who sprinted to a 28-9 halftime lead and never looked back.
Sofie Cruz had 18 points to lead the Cougars.
Liberty 49, Basic 44 — At Liberty, Alena Evans tallied 17 points, and the Patriots rallied from a 36-33 deficit after three quarters to edge the Wolves.
Sydney Clark and Meme Clark each added eight points for Liberty.
Kailai Brantner paced Basic with 16 points, and teammate Marissa Ross scored 12.
Silverado 65, Del Sol 27 — At Silverado, Jessica Meyers led all scorers with 19 points to lead the Skyhawks in a rout of the Dragons.
Diamond Bond added 11 points for Silverado.
Melissa DeSantiago paced Del Sol with eight points.
Foothill 67, Tech 30 — At Foothill, Taylor Collins had 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocked shots to lead the Falcons past the Roadrunners.
Emily Cox added 14 points, Danielle Morris scored 11 and Kimmie Sandusky had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Foothill, which led 41-17 at the half.
Anaya Rodisha added nine assists, and Kailani Killebrew had nine rebounds for the Falcons.
Hailey Holdsclaw had 10 points for Tech.
Las Vegas 60, Chaparral 36 — At Chaparral, Shomari Harris scored 18 of her 26 points in the second half as the Wildcats pulled away from the Cowboys.
Matti Ventling added 15 points for Las Vegas, which used a 20-8 third-quarter run to build a 24-point lead.
Michelle Torres led Chaparral with 10 points.
Valley 81, Desert Pines 24 — At Valley, Tyricia Payne had 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists to help the Vikings cruise to an easy win over the Jaguars.
Kennedy Wharton added 16 points, nine rebounds and six steals for Valley, which got 10 points from Gabby Cabanero.
Jazzmin Avalos and Jasmyn Baltazar each had seven points for Desert Pines.
Canyon Springs 66, Eldorado 19 — At Canyon Springs, Cherise Beynon scored 18 points to help the Pioneers cruise past the Sundevils.
Pearl Paulo added 17 points for Canyon Springs, which led 20-1 at the end of the first quarter.
Deniseun Jackson scored seven points to lead Eldorado.
Rancho 36, Sunrise Mountain 24 — At Sunrise Mountain, Darje Martin scored 18 points to help the Rams rally past the Miners.
Elise Marshall scored six points to lead Sunrise Mountain, which scored just five points after taking a 19-12 lead into halftime.
Durango 45, Pahrump Valley 31 — At Pahrump, Jasmine Thomas scored 11 points to help the Trailblazers down the Trojans.
Darea’l Thomas and Angel Coronel each added nine points for Durango.
Boulder City 55, Moapa Valley 14 — At Boulder City, Mallory Bird contributed 11 points and eight rebounds, and the Eagles cruised to an easy win over the Pirates.
Karlee Koopman led Bouder City with 13 points, and Kaitlyn Daly supplied eight points and five assists.
Needles 48, The Meadows 13 — At The Meadows, Abby Chandler scored 17 points and Cheyenne Alexander added seven points as Needles cruised past The Meadows.
Lake Mead 36, Agassi Prep 33 — At Agassi Prep, Taylor Badua-Kono scored 15 points to help the Eagles edge the Stars.
Kareema Webb scored nine points to lead Agassi Prep, which saw a third-quarter rally fall short of a comeback.
Indian Springs 38, Round Mountain 25 — At Indian Springs, Heather Thormahlen scored 16 points as the Thunderbirds topped the Knights.
Alexxa Reinke had 12 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for Indian Springs.
Morgan Manley led Round Mountain with 12 points.
Lincoln County 61, Mountain View 27 — At Panaca, Tia Florence tallied 16 points, and the Lynx raced to a 33-5 halftime lead en route to a win over the Saints.
Jaycee Wadsworth added 12 points, and Lacee Babcock scored 10 for Lincoln County.
Briana Marruffo drained three 3-pointers and finished with 20 points for Mountain View.
