ROUNDUP: Ruffino’s tiebreaker lifts Coronado’s girls to win
Nicole Ruffino’s basket with 12 seconds left Tuesday broke a 49-49 tie and lifted Coronado’s girls basketball team to a 51-49 win at Basic.
Caitlin Trost scored 14 points for Coronado.
Marquichea Burns led the Wolves with 13 points. Noemi Hernandez added 12 points, Kailai Brantner score 11 and Michaela Thomas had 10 for Basic, which missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.
Foothill 62, Del Sol 32 — At Del Sol, Cheryl Harless scored 14 points, and the Falcons grabbed a quick 10-2 lead before routing the Dragons.
Mercedes Starr added 11 points for Foothill.
Amy Austin tallied 23 points for Del Sol.
Liberty 73, Tech 31 — At Liberty, Jade Washington scored 19 points and Amanda Delgado had 14 as the Patriots blitzed the Roadrunners.
Daynice Cochran added 11 points and Phoebe Baker contributed 10 for Liberty.
Julie Harless and Adriana Heredia each scored nine points for the Roadrunners.
Legacy 48, Faith Lutheran 27 — At Faith Lutheran, Kayla Murray scored 12 points to help the Longhorns cruise past the Crusaders.
Aubrianna Hayes and Mickayla Hicks each added seven points for Legacy, which led 25-8 at the half.
Alex Treadwell led Faith Lutheran with 10 points.
Cheyenne 60, Cimarron-Memorial 39 — At Cheyenne, Taryn Hicks had 15 points and five steals, and Shaunice Cameron pulled down 10 rebounds as the Desert Shields beat the Spartans.
Brenyatta Young scored 10 points for Cheyenne.
Leilani Blanco led Cimarron with 14 points.
Centennial 83, Arbor View 27 — At Arbor View, the Bulldogs held the Aggies to seven second-half points in the rout.
Alexis Byrd had 22 points and Courtney Hayes scored 20 to lead Centennial, which outscored Arbor View 27-4 in the third quarter.
Shannon Brown added 17 points, and Ashley Klemz contributed 11 for the Bulldogs.
Jenna Valenzuela had nine points for Arbor View.
Palo Verde 55, Mojave 51 — At Mojave, Jasmin Kiley scored 18 points as the Panthers edged the Rattlers.
Nicole Ameli had 15 points, and Lily Tapusoa added 10 for Palo Verde.
Traci Parks led Mojave with 17 points and 19 rebounds. Jazzmine Robinson scored 12 points and Clarissa Cannon added 10 for the Rattlers.
Needles 63, Boulder City 44 — At Needles, Calif., Alex Chandler had 18 points, seven assists and eight rebounds to lead the Mustangs past the Eagles.
Gena Chavira added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Needles, which used a 19-3 third-quarter burst to put the game out of reach.
Karlee Koopman had 27 points, and Jessi Forrester scored 13 for Boulder City.
Mountain View 40, Calvary Chapel 22 — At Calvary Chapel, Patrice Marshall scored 22 points and had eight rebounds and eight steals to lead the Saints past the Lions.
Briana Marruffo added 12 rebounds and Zari Riley 11 rebounds for Mountain View.
Sammie Mann had 11 points for Calvary Chapel, which couldn’t recover from a 22-6 halftime deficit.
Agassi Prep 45, The Meadows 17 — At Agassi Prep, Alannah Conway scored 12 of her 20 points in the first half as the Stars grabbed a 20-6 halftime lead and cruised to the win.
Kayla Johnson added 13 points for Agassi Prep.
Adelaide Lopez led the Mustangs with 10 points.
Pahranagat Valley 59, Lake Mead 37 — At Alamo, Nikki Schofield had 16 points, and Halie Lewis scored 10 to lead the Panthers past the Eagles.
Taylor Badua-Kono paced the Eagles with 10 points.
Henderson International 31, Indian Springs 18 — At Indian Springs, Lee Harrison scored nine points, and the Wolverines took a 27-14 lead into the fourth quarter to cruise past the Thunderbirds.
Alexxa Reinke led Indian Springs with 10 points.
Trinity 49, Adelson School 21 — At Adelson School, Andrea Martinez had 21 points, and Danielle Noll scored 18 as the Thunder routed the Lions.
