Bonanza running back Josh Wilson scored on a 10-yard run in overtime to give the Bengals a 26-20 road win over Clark on Friday.

Wilson ran for 71 yards and two touchdowns, all after halftime.

Wilson supplied a 1-yard TD plunge with 1:24 left in regulation, but Clark’s Aquantay Morris blocked the extra point to preserve the tie at 20-20 and send it to overtime.

Clark had the ball first in overtime, and Bonanza’s Justwin Encher sacked quarterback Justin Aguilar for a 7-yard loss on the Chargers’ first play. Bengals’ cornerback Armani Burns intercepted Aguilar’s pass attempt in the end zone on the next play to hold Clark scoreless.

The Chargers trailed 14-6 at the end of the third quarter, and got a 23-yard TD catch down the right sideline by Morris from Aguilar early in the fourth quarter. Aguilar connected with Isaiah Bigby for the 2-point conversion to tie it at 14-14, and Aguilar added a 15-yard TD scamper on the ensuing drive with 8:03 remaining to take the lead, 20-14. Clark chose to go for a 2-point pass play again, but Aguilar was intercepted by Terrence McCullough.

Justin Bacon supplied a 29-yard rushing score in the second quarter for Bonanza (2-6, 1-4 Southwest League), and teammate Brandon Estrade contributed a 14-yard TD run in the third quarter.

Bigby opened the scoring with a 13-yard TD catch on a slant pass in the first quarter for the Chargers. Bonanza jumped offside on the point-after kick attempt, and Clark’s 2-point run on the next try was stopped short to make it 6-0.

Bengals quarterback Kyle Allison completed 9 of 24 passes for 134 yards, and Estrada had 52 yards on 14 carries.

Morris tallied 141 yards on 16 rushes, and led the Chargers (2-6, 1-5) with seven tackles.
