Six Boulder City players ran for touchdowns in a 42-0 home rout of Lake Mead Friday night.

Boulder City (1-1) opened the scoring with 7:41 left in the first quarter, on a 23-yard touchdown run by Travis Hungerford and never looked back.

Taylor Hatchel and Dillon Viera had touchdown runs of two and six yards in the final six minutes of the half to put Boulder City up 21-0 at the half.

Aaron Walker was the workhorse for Boulder City, carrying the ball a game-high 15 times for 83 yards.

Cyrus Quintana, Michael Morgan and Briggs Huxford each added fourth-quarter touchdown runs for Boulder City.

Lake Mead (1-1) employed the same ground-and-pound philosophy as Boulder City, but without the same success. Lake Mead had four players finish with negative rushing yards.

Jared Reagan was responsible for Lake Mead’s only play of note, a 55-yard sprint between the hashes. He finished with 66 yards on nine carries, before leaving the game with an injury in the third quarter.
