Cheeney’s four scores help Lynx rout Mustangs
Lincoln County’s Derek Cheeney rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries as the Lynx (2-1, 2-0 Division III Southern) routed visiting The Meadows (0-3, 0-2) 42-0 on Friday.
Colton Johnson gained 126 yards on 12 carries for Lincoln County, which led 34-0 at halftime, and Mitchell O’Connor added 94 yards and a TD on five carries.
Preston Avery scored on a 39-yard interception return.
Bryson Bickart rushed for 69 yards on 14 carries for The Meadows, and Chase Marrs had 47 yards on six attempts.
