Davis scores four, Spartans roll
Cimarron-Memorial’s Justin Davis ran for four touchdowns and added a 71-yard punt return for a score as the Spartans (2-1) routed visiting Rancho (0-2) 55-0 on Friday.
Davis scored on runs of 22, 4, 15 and 47 yards and finished with 117 yards on seven carries. Michael Barnson rushed for 118 yards on six carries, including a 71-yard TD scamper, and forced a fumble on defense for Cimarron.
The Spartans outgained Rancho 343-67.
Desean Lewis closed the first half with a 4-yard run for a score, and Jayshawn Edwards had a 34-yard TD run for the game’s final score in the fourth quarter.
Defensive end Alistair Houpe recorded three sacks for Cimarron.
Ezekiel Collins rushed for 82 yards for Rancho.
