Lowry scores two late touchdowns to edge Pahrump Valley

Brendan Domire completed two touchdown passes to Preston Snow in the final 2 minutes, 32 seconds of the game Friday as Lowry rallied to nip Pahrump Valley, 41-40 in Winnemucca.

Domire hit Snow with a 5-yard scoring pass with 26.3 seconds to play, and Jace Mentaberry kicked the extra point to give the Buckaroos their first lead of the second half.

Pahrump led 40-27 before Domire hit Snow on a scoring pass with 2:32 left. Pahrump gained one first down before losing possession on a fumble in Buckaroos territory with 1:10 left, setting the stage for Lowry’s winning drive.

Casey Flennory scored three touchdowns in the first half to help the Trojans build a 24-13 lead at the half.

Nico Velazquez’s 1-yard touchdown run with seven minutes left in the third quarter extended the lead to 32-13.

After a pair of Lowry touchdowns, Tyler Floyd scored on a 4-yard run to put the Trojans ahead 40-27 with 2:46 left in the third quarter.
