Otuafi scores early as Spring Mountain routs Hornets
David Otuafi scored three touchdowns Friday to lead Spring Mountain’s football team to a 54-0 home win over Beatty.
Otuafi scored on a 2-yard run 34 seconds into the game, and the Golden Eagles (5-2, 4-2 Division IV Southern) never looked back. He caught a 41-yard touchdown pass from Joshua Banasiak four minutes later and finished the scoring on a 55-yard run early in the third quarter.
Banasiak also tossed a 32-yard scoring pass to Isaiah Saromines and a 31-yard TD pass to Valmir Bokju. Saromines returned an interception for a touchdown, and Dashon Blanche added a TD run for Spring Mountain.
Beatty is 2-5, 1-5.
