Special teams lift Jaguars past Pahrump Valley
Desert Pines returned two punts for touchdowns in the second half to break open a close game and defeated host Pahrump Valley 41-27 on Saturday.
Scott Maughan rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Trojans (1-1). Quarterback A.J. Segura ran for a score and also threw a TD pass to Deon Estes.
The Jaguars (2-0) led 14-12 at halftime and 27-19 after three quarters.
