Wolverines rout Beatty
Henderson International’s Jay Sutorius scored three touchdowns, and the Wolverines (2-1, 1-0 Class 1A Southern) found the end zone on six of their first seven possessions in a 56-18 rout of host Beatty (1-2, 0-2) on Thursday.
Sutorius hauled in a 49-yard pass from Logan Christie for one score, returned a kickoff 83 yards for another and had a 3-yard rushing TD.
Christie was 6 of 8 passing for 134 yards, including TD passes of 14 yards to Charles Pachas and 25 yards to Keenan Gladd-Brown.
Pachas, who had 11 carries for 104 yards, also had a 9-yard TD run. Chris Laliberte added scoring runs of 62 and 10 yards.
Beatty’s Tony Dare scored on runs of 67 and 27 yards, and Anthony Turner added a 61-yard TD run.
