GOLF: Logan, Eagles roll to Sunrise League win
Luke Logan carded a 3-over-par 73 at Wildhorse, and Boulder City’s boys golf team took the top five individual places en route to a win in a Sunrise League match on Monday.
The Eagles had a team score of 378. Virgin Valley was second with 471, followed by Moapa Valley at 482.
Boulder City’s Christian Hudleson shot 76, followed by teammates Kyle Effertz (77), Kyler Atkinson (78) and Marcus Walker (78).
Gators win Northeast match
At Las Vegas Municipal, Nick Riedy shot 3-over 75 to help Green Valley win a Northeast League match.
The Gators, who also got a 76 from Grayson Savio and a 78 from Jeff Mullins, had a team score of 393. Las Vegas was second at 437. Silverado was third at 495, five strokes better than Canyon Springs.
The Wildcats’ Trey Jensen was the medalist with a 70, and teammate Phoutpane Souksengdao shot 79.
Crusaders take Sunset match
At Mountain Falls, Charlie Magruder shot 1-over 73 to help Faith Lutheran to victory in a Sunset League match.
Faith Lutheran had a team score of 387. Pahrump Valley was second with 441, and Cheyenne took third at 516.
The Crusaders’ Dallas Haun, Clark’s Arpepanya Phonsavanth and Pahrump’s Austen Ancell each shot 74.
Aggies down Cimarron
At Paiute, Van Thomas and Ethan Boznar each shot par 36 to lead Arbor View to a 195-262 win over Cimarron-Memorial.
Brandon Smith led the Spartans with a 38.
