McInerney, Cougars triumph in Southeast match
A.J. McInerney shot 3-under-par 69 to lead Coronado’s boys golf team to victory in a Southeast League match at Legacy on Wednesday.
Kenden Slattery added a 72, and Matt Welch shot 74 for the Cougars, who shot 365 as a team.
Green Valley was second at 375, and Foothill third at 389.
Foothill’s Taylor Montgomery fired a 6-under 66 to claim medalist honors. Green Valley’s Hayden Cottle was third at 70.
