Williams, Whittell boys take Mineral County title
Jake Williams carded a 3-over-par 73 to earn medalist honors and lead Whittell’s boys golf team to the championship of the Mineral County Invitational at Walker Lake Golf Course in Hawthorne on Friday.
Whittell won with a score of 415, followed by Battle Mountain (484) and White Pine (505).
Ryan Roper carded a 97 to lead Tonopah, which tied for fourth at 512.
