BOYS SOCCER: Centennial’s Ahmed Green heads in late winner against Arbor View

Ahmed Green headed in the winning goal off a corner kick with about five minutes remaining to lift Centennial’s boys soccer team to a 3-2 victory over visiting Arbor View on Thursday.

Adrian Martinez and Tyler Rogge had the Bulldogs’ other goals.

Manny Lopez had two assists, and Carsen Smith had one assist for Centennial, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Christian Limon and Heston Helquist scored for the Aggies, and teammate Nicklaus Dongmann added an assist.

Legacy 3, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Legacy, Justin McCabe and Oscar Gonzalez teamed up on three first-half goals to help the Longhorns top the Crusaders.

McCabe finished with two goals and an assist, and Gonzalez had a goal and two assists.

Oliver Garcia made five saves to earn the shutout for Legacy.

Palo Verde 6, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Palo Verde, Presten Manthey had two goals and an assist as the Panthers blanked the Mustangs.

Henry Robledo-Matadamas and Timothy Stevens each scored twice for Palo Verde, which also got two assists from Michael Vogel.

Goalie Levi Lord earned the shutout with three saves for the Panthers.

Rancho 2, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Anthony Candido scored off a corner kick in the second half to break a tie and give the Rams the win over the ninth-ranked Pioneers.

Candido’s kick skimmed off a defender and into the net to break a 1-1 tie.

Jose Campos scored for Rancho to give the Rams a 1-0 halftime lead.

Canyon Springs’ Edgar Donate scored off an assist from Chris Mata to tie the game.

Valley 2, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Anthony Navarro-Marquez had a goal and an assist, and the Vikings downed the Sundevils.

Josh Cloyd also scored, and Jose Valles added an assist for Valley, which broke a scoreless tie at halftime with two second-half goals.

Jesus Enriquez was credited with the shutout.

Sunrise Mountain 5, Mojave 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jose Areola and Bryan Garcia-Miranda each had two goals, and the Miners coasted to a victory over the Rattlers.

Jose Jimenez-Vasquez added a goal for Sunrise Mountain, which raced out to an early 3-0 lead.

Anthony Acedo recorded a four-save shutout.

Western 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, David Ginsburg, Franklin Martinez and Gustavo Sanchez each scored for the Warriors in their win over the Jaguars.

Wilses Cervantes scored an unassisted goal for Desert Pines, which trailed 2-1 at halftime.

Pahrump Valley 1, Cheyenne 0 — At Pahrump, Paul Holmes scored in the first half off an assist from Christian Gonzalez to lift the Trojans past the Desert Shields.

Nick Harris was credited with the shutout for Pahrump.

Adelson School 8, Coral Academy 1 — At Adelson School, Nevo Ziv had three goals and an assist as the Lions blitzed the Falcons.

Jalen Pitts and Dylan Soresman each added a goal and an assist for Adelson School, which also got goals from Liddor Bega, Alex Sefia and Gahl Eden.

Brandon Lome scored Coral Academy’s goal.

Quincy (Ill.) 2, Chaparral 0 — At St. Louis, the Blue Devils scored twice in the second half to top the Cowboys in the Gateway City Classic.
