BOYS SOCCER: Cimarron locks up fourth consecutive league title in win over Shadow Ridge
George Balcazar and Dresdan Quackenbush each had a goal and an assist Tuesday to help Cimarron-Memorial’s boys soccer team lock up the Northwest League title with a 3-1 win over visiting Shadow Ridge.
Erick Cuevans also scored for Cimarron, which has won four consecutive league titles.
Chase Castro scored for Shadow Ridge.
Valley 3, Eldorado 2 — At Valley, the Vikings rallied from a 2-1 halftime deficit to top the Sundevils.
Josh Cloyd, Joseph Cruz and Sergio Arrguen each scored a goal for Valley.
Canyon Springs 1, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, each team scored a second-half goal and played to a draw.
Canyon Springs’ Jesus Gonzalez scored on an assist from Ramon Urias-Medina.
Sergio Reyes scored for Rancho.
Pahrump Valley 1, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Jesus Martinez scored on a corner kick in the second half to help the Desert Shields earn a tie with the Trojans.
Bailey Crawford scored on an assist from Paul Holmes in the first half for Pahrump.
Desert Pines 1, Western 1 — At Western, Mauricio Muniz scored a second-half goal to give the Warriors a tie with the Jaguars.
Emmanuel Calo scored in the first half for Desert Pines.
Arbor View 5, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Nicklaus Dongmann had two goals and three assists to lead the Aggies past the Longhorns.
Christian Limon added a goal and an assist for Arbor View, and Jesse Pierce and Zachary Braez each had a goal.
Goalkeeper Brendan Rapp made four saves to get the shutout. Rapp also had an assist.
Sunrise Mountain 5, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Jose Arreola had three goals, and Marcos Plata made three saves as the Miners shut out the Rattlers.
Ivan Balbuena and Musio Jimenez-Vazquez also scored for Sunrise Mountain, which broke open a one-goal game by scoring four times in the second half.
Jonso Jimenez-Vasquez added three assists for the Miners.
Palo Verde 8, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Palo Verde, Presten Manthey had three goals and an assist, and Nick Frost added two goals and an assist to help the Panthers top the Crusaders.
Nitai Bettan also scored twice, and Michael Vogel had a goal for the Panthers, who led 2-0 at halftime. Levi Lord made one save to record the shutout.
Anthony Kaskie and Gustaf Sandefeldt each had two assists for the Panthers.
