BOYS SOCCER: Durango keeper Paolo Sarnataro makes 12 saves in shutout victory over Desert Oasis
Durango keeper Paolo Sarnataro recorded a 12-save shutout to lead the Trailblazers’ boys soccer team to a 3-0 road victory over Desert Oasis on Monday.
Erick Martinez-Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez, and Alfredo Robles-Rodriguez scored goals for the Trailblazers, all in the first half.
Christopher Bramasco and Marcos Delgado provided the assists.
Adelson School 3, Virgin Valley 2 — At Adelson School, Nivo Ziv’s goal and assist helped the Lions defeat the Bulldogs.
Alex Safia and Ben Elharrar also scored goals for the Lions. Jalen Pitts and Dylan Soresman each added an assist.
Pedro Osuna-Gomez and Christian Martinez were the goalscorers for the Bulldogs.
Bishop Gorman 4, Sierra Vista 2 — At Gorman, Brandon Malek scored two goals, and Justin Rasmussen added a goal and an assist to help the Gaels top the Mountain Lions.
Cobi DeLeon also scored for Gorman, which led 3-1 at halftime.
Zekarias Kassaye and Calvin Aguirre scored for Sierra Vista.
Chaparral 6, Mojave 1 — At Chaparral, Omar Miranda and Ivan Topete each had a goal and two assists as the Cowboys routed the Rattlers.
Gerardo Perieda, Leo Gutierrez, Ramiro Alvarado and Jason Ramos also scored for Chaparral, which led 3-1 at halftime.
Anibal Ponce scored for Mojave.
Clark 3, Bonanza 2 — At Clark, Tesfu Mebretom scored the go-ahead goal in the 59th minute off an assist by Enrique Villarreal and goalkeeper Tristan Polakowski saved a penalty kick with four minutes remaining as the Chargers rallied past the Bengals.
Kevin Medina scored two goals off assists by Stephen Russell for Clark, which trailed 2-1 at halftime.
Juan Rodriguez and Fidel Ordaz scored for Bonanza.
Foothill 5, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Reagan Mugume scored twice, and the Falcons rallied for five second-half goals to top the Grizzlies.
Colton Cook, Isaac Olsen and Alejandro Casula each added a goal for Foothill.
Jonathan Goecke scored for Spring Valley.
Del Sol 4, Silverado 0 — At Del Sol, Diego Nieves scored two goals to lead the Dragons past the Skyhawks.
Ruben Ortiz and Sergio Calderon each scored a goal for the Dragons.
Goalkeeper Rene Teodoro had the shutout.
Las Vegas 1, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Miguel Eslava’s second-half goal helped the Wildcats edge the Gators.
Fernando Gomez assisted on Eslava’s goal.
Chris Sosa made two saves in the shutout.
Shadow Ridge 9, Basic 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Edoardo Turrini’s hat trick led the Mustangs to victory over the Wolves.
Jack Guynn scored a goal and added three assists, and Alberto Benatti added a goal and an assist for Shadow Ridge.
Goalkeeper’s Jake Anderson and Ian Dalton combined to record the shutout for the Mustangs.
Sunrise Mountain 4, Tech 2 — At Tech, Musio Jiminez-Vazquez had a goal and an assist to lead the Miners past the Roadrunners.
Jonso Jiminez-Vazquez, Julian Herrera and Ivan Enciso each scored goals for the Miners, who scored three first-half goals to take control of the game.
Joel Velazaquez and Alex Mejia each scored goals for the Roadrunners.
