BOYS SOCCER: Green Valley completes comeback to knock off Silverado
Green Valley’s boys soccer team scored three goals in the second half Wednesday to overcome a 1-0 halftime deficit and beat host Silverado, 3-2.
Agustin Molina scored twice and had an assist for the Gators. Elyjah DeLeon also scored.
Jaime Ayala and Sean Borla scored the Skyhawks’ goals, with assists from David Matias-Flores and Robert Deady.
Del Sol 2, Virgin Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Roman Perez and Pedro Osuna-Gomez each scored a second-half goal to help the Bulldogs earn a tie with the Dragons.
Diego Nieves and Oscar Morales scored in the first half to give Del Sol a 2-0 halftime lead. Ruben Ortiz and Daniel Barajas each had an assist for Del Sol.
Fredy Gomez supplied an assist for Virgin Valley.
Liberty 0, Coronado 0 — At Coronado, the Patriots and Cougars played to a scoreless draw.
Liberty’s Ivan Rodriguez and Coronado’s Harrison Skinner had the shutouts.
Chaparral 5, Boulder City 2 — At Chaparral, Ramiro Alvarado scored two goals to lead the Cowboys past the Eagles.
Ivan Topete, Omar Miranda and Alexander Caro each added a goal for Chaparral, and Leo Gutierrez, Miguel Mendoza and Jason Ramos all had an assist.
Patrick Hood and Jason Sanford scored for Boulder City.
Durango 4, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Jamie Munguia scored two goals as the Trailblazers built a 2-0 halftime lead en route to downing the Mountain Lions.
Erick Martinez-Rodriguez and Marcos Delgado also scored for Durango, which got assists from Alfredo Robles-Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez and Christopher Bramasco.
Daniel Perez scored on an assist from Eduardo Perez for Sierra Vista.
Bishop Gorman 5, Bonanza 1 — At Bishop Gorman, Jeffrey Hoapili scored two goals to help the Gaels top the Bengals.
Cobi DeLeon, Cody Buckley and Jeffrey Wright scored for the Gaels, with Cameron Cox picking up two assists and Wright, Alex Daseler and Ryan Rasmussen picking up one apiece.
Efrain Mayorga scored for Bonanza.
Spring Valley 5, Desert Oasis 1 — At Spring Valley, Jose Lopez scored three goals, and David Van Hoose tallied two goals and two assists to help the Grizzlies top the Diamondbacks.
Ethan Harper and Ethan Orme each supplied an assist for Spring Valley, which led 2-0 at halftime.
Alex Brubaker scored for Desert Oasis.
Tech 7, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Andres Santana had two goals and three assists to power the Roadrunners past the Pirates.
Anthony Garcia added two goals, and Alex Meija had a goal and three assists for Tech. Gabriel Aguilar and Agustin Nunez also scored for the Roadrunners.
Israel Rubio scored for Moapa Valley.
Foothill 9, Basic 0 — At Basic, eight Falcons scored in the win over the Wolves.
Noah Barros scored twice, and Trent Milne, Devan Henriott, Noah Morris, Zach Sines, Stanley Henderson and Kyle Thomas each added a goal.
Sines and Will Nolasco had two assists, and Milne, Reagan Mugume, Dylan Verrastro and Juan Medrano each had one assist.
Potter and Kapono Maruyama combined for the shutout.
