BOYS SOCCER: Mustangs hold off top-ranked Cimarron

Jack Guynn and Alvaro Gonzalez each scored a first-half goal Tuesday, as Shadow Ridge's boys soccer team held on for a 2-1 win over host Cimarron-Memorial.

Gustavo Garcia converted a penalty kick in the second half for the Spartans, ranked No. 1 in the first Southern Nevada coaches poll.

Chaparral 1, Palo Verde 0 — At Palo Verde, Jose Morales scored on an assist from Omar Miranda in the game's 30th minute to lift the Cowboys over the Panthers.

Juan Romero made four saves to get the shutout for Chaparral.

Desert Oasis 3, Del Sol 3 — At Desert Oasis, the Diamondbacks scored on a corner kick with 10 seconds left to earn a tie with the Dragons.

Ivan Biorato and Cesar Reyes scored for Desert Oasis, which benefited from an own goal on the final goal.

Diego Nieves had two goals, and Ruben Ortiz also scored for Del Sol, which got two assists from Sergio Calderon.

Canyon Springs 2, Bonanza 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers scored a pair of second-half goals to top the Bengals.

Eduardo Olvera and Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez scored for Canyon Springs.

Goalkeeper Felix Dominguez-Vera made two saves to get the shutout.

Western 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Guillaume Chevalier scored two second-half goals to lift the Warriors to the win over the Longhorns.

Federico Romano added a goal for Western, and Jose Anaya made three saves to get the shutout.

Eldorado 3, Silverado 0 — At Eldorado, Eddie Mercado had two goals and an assist to lead the Sundevils by the Skyhawks.

Bryant Juarez also scored for Eldorado.

Isaac Hernandez made five saves to earn the shutout for the Sundevils.

Arbor View 5, Sierra Vista 2 — At Sierra Vista, Alfredo Carrera had a goal and two assists, and Niko Dongmann and Dalton Rice each added a goal and an assist in the Aggies' win over the Mountain Lions.

Hayden Turnier and Christian Limon also scored for Arbor View.

Kebba Jobe and Calvin Aguirre netted Sierra Vista's goals.
