BOYS SOCCER: Sierra Vista’s late goal forces draw against Spring Valley
Calvin Aguirre scored his second goal of the game in the 78th minute for the Sierra Vista boys soccer team Tuesday to force a 3-3 draw at home against Spring Valley.
Daniel Perez scored the Mountain Lions’ other goal.
Jose Lopez scored twice for Spring Valley, and Ethan Orme scored once. David Van Hoose had two assists for the Grizzlies.
Liberty 2, Green Valley 2 — At Green Valley, R.J. Soriano scored two second-half goals to help the Patriots tie the Gators.
Pablo Pena and Augustin Molina had Green Valley’s goals.
Bishop Gorman 3, Clark 2 — At Clark, Justin Rasmussen had two goals and an assist as the Gaels edged the Chargers.
Hayden Madsen also scored for Gorman, which got assists from Cobi DeLeon and Jeffrey Hoapili.
Abraham Dolley and Sterlington Penniston-John each scored for Clark, which got an assist from Kevin Medina.
Bonanza 0, Durango 0 — At Durango, both goalkeepers made seven saves as the Bengals and Trailblazers battled to a scoreless draw.
Paolo Sarnataro was Durango’s keeper, and Alejandro Tabardillo was in net for Bonanza.
Tech 4, Boulder City 1 — At Tech, Andres Santana scored three goals to power the Roadrunners past the Eagles.
Gabriel Aguilar added a goal and an assist for Tech, which led 1-0 at halftime.
Sebastian Balmer scored Boulder City’s goal.
Chaparral 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Virgin Valley, Leo Gutierrez scored twice, and Omar Miranda had a goal and two assists as the Cowboys blanked the Bulldogs.
Juan Romero had four saves and got the shutout for Chaparral.
Foothill 4, Silverado 0 — At Foothill, Reagan Mugume scored two goals to lift the Falcons over the Skyhawks.
Trent Milne and Alejandro Casula had goals for Foothill. Isaac Olsen had two assists for the Falcons
Logan Lake made four saves to earn the shutout.
Del Sol 9, Moapa Valley 0 — At Del Sol, Diego Nieves scored four goals as the Dragons routed the Pirates.
Sergio Calderon had a goal and two assists for Del Sol. Ismael Veloz, Oscar Morales and Ruben Ortiz each added a goal and an assist for the Dragons.
Yerovy Vargas-Gill also scored for Del Sol, and goalkeepers Jesus Gallardo and Rene Teodoro combined on the shutout.
Coronado 14, Basic 0 — At Basic, John Lynam had four goals and two assists, and Preston Judd added three goals and four assists to power the Cougars to an easy win over the Wolves.
Lincoln Aquino had three goals, and Grant Smyth supplied two goals and an assist for Coronado, which got a goal and two assists from Harrison Mirolla. Giofranco Capriossi also scored for the Cougars, and Harrison Skinner was credited with the shutout.
