BOYS SOCCER: Trama’s second-half goal sends Gators by Rancho
Antonio Trama’s goal 15 minutes into the second half broke a 1-1 tie and lifted Green Valley’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 home win over Rancho on Monday.
Ricardo Nunez also scored for the Gators.
Jorge Alejo scored for the Rams.
Durango 2, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Durango, Marcos Delangel-Parra converted a first-half penalty kick, and Jamie Munguia added a second-half goal to lift the Trailblazers by the Gaels.
Paolo Sarnataro recorded the shutout with six saves for Durango.
Legacy 3, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Mario Adams, Daniel Quinones and Randolph Anderson each scored once to help the Longhorns top the Mustangs.
Chase Castro scored for Shadow Ridge.
Sunrise Mountain 3, Del Sol 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Musio Jimenez-Vazquez had a goal and an assist to lead the Miners by the Dragons.
Julian Herrera and Ismael Arambula also scored for Sunrise Mountain.
Adrian Zacarias made six saves to earn the shutout.
Tech 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Eduardo Gomez scored two goals to lead the Roadrunners past the Bulldogs.
Francisco Garcia added a goal and an assist for Tech.
Tyler Harvey made four saves en route to the shutout.
Coronado 5, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, John Lynam and Preston Judd each had two goals and an assist to lead the Cougars by the Falcons.
Nico Glass also scored for Coronado.
Kapono Maruyama scored for Foothill.
Eldorado 9, Basic 3 — At Eldorado, Bryant Juarez had four goals and an assist to lead the Sundevils by the Wolves.
Eddie Mercado and Heriberto Benitez each had two goals and two assists, and Edgar Cuevas also scored for Eldorado.
Topias Pennanen scored twice, and Brian Cubias added a goal for Basic.
Desert Pines 7, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Oswaldo Medina had three goals, and Marco Vivero added two goals and two assists to lead the Jaguars by the Eagles.
Eduardo Flores had a goal and an assist, and Kevin Sanchez also scored for Desert Pines, which got three assists from Emanuel Calo.
Geo Hernandez made two saves en route to the shutout.
Chaparral 10, Moapa Valley 2 — At Overton, Jorge Aguilar and Jose Morales each scored two goals as the Cowboys routed the Pirates.
Gerardo Perieda, Omar Miranda and Ramiro Alvarado each added a goal and an assist, and Aldo Skewes, Ever Favela and Cesar Mendoza also scored for Chaparral. Saul Gonzalez had two assists for the Cowboys.
Jorge Aguilar scored both goals for Moapa Valley.
